Weird that MHR waited until now to blow up like Mt Doom at the end of Return of the King.

Could've been the new Demo, but that went live three days earlier, and the digital event was a few more days before that.

Monster Hunter Rise is at 785 pts. Since the Double Pack counts for two preorders, let's consider a ratio of 1:1.500.

That would be 1.177.500 for First Week. In other words, the game will sell much more than that.
