Congratulations to the United States, you tried someone/something different with Trump which resulted in a collapsing economy, insane levels of debt and hundreds of thousands dead and endless amounts of drama, blame shifting, narcissism, bigotry, division and hate.

And you used your democratic rights to boot him out and elect someone different and competent.
Hopefully Biden can mend some of the bridge Trump ruined with us by being disrespectful to our previous prime minister.

From a personal perspective, because Trump wasn't my president, I did enjoy his antics as a joke/free entertainment, so hopefully that class-act continues on in some capacity but doesn't impede progress in the USA.

Honestly I can't see Biden winning a second term and not because he is old and likely to die but because he wasn't really a great candidate to begin with. If Trump handled COVID better he would have won easily, now that is a scary thought lol.

Like you it has no impact on me being in Australia. The only thing I can conclude from the last two elections is America is a bigger mess than Australia where people take their political views too far almost cult like. We sometimes complain about our politicians but I think any of ours are a better option than what America has got atm lol.

Covid and "systemic racism". Basically Biden was elected thanks to one big fat lie. Devious schemes are nothing unusual in politics, but this is on different scale. The socially disruptive one.

Need to give Biden an actual chance first before you start complaining on apparant lies... Because the world gave Trump a chance despite him lying about:

That massive wall that never got built and Mexico never paid for it.
Hillary never got jailed.
Didn't repeal and replace obamacare.
Didn't deport all immigrants.
Didn't fix the debt problem. (It actually got worst.)
Didn't ditch Nato.
Didn't reinstate torture.
Trump didn't invest heavily on infrastructure to repair and modernize the US's antiquated airports, roads and rail.
Didn't bring American troops home and end the "endless wars".

And lets not start on Trumps downplaying and lying about COVID since the start of this year either... Jesus christ, what a mess.
No wonder he got booted out on his ass, deservedly so.

Where did the world give him a chance? Were you high on scorpion venom? Trump was never given a chance from before the get go. Russian collusion scheme, a solid MSM anti-Trump front, social media and the public non stop ridiculing and chastising him. See all the threads in whatever forum. What about Bidens racist remark? Nothing. But Michelle Obama brining up the Charlottesville lie, or the Proud Boys lie and you're all over it. F'ing hypocrites.

And you want to tell me he was given a chance? Are you f'ing sh'ing me? What would it have looked like if the world would not have given him a chance? Grabing him at inaugeration day and throw him into a woodchipper?

And despite all this no land slide victory for Biden. O my... and maybe even voter fraud?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uErY5RJ76Os

Did i LoL when the phone was hung up...

Actually watched that entire video, what a colossal waste of time. Here are some of the claims:

14,000 dead votes in Michigan (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/11/08/fact-check-false-claim-14-k-dead-people-voted-michigan/6201900002/)

PA Senator in jail for electoral fraud (couldn't find anything on this, seems like the guy just made it up whole cloth)

And then they show Project Veritas videos as though they haven't already been shown to be untrustworthy. (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/10/16/fact-check-project-veritas-no-proof-voter-fraud-scheme-link-ilhan-omar/3584614001/)

Next time could you please be kind enough to just list the dumbass claims from the video you want to share so I can google them directly rather than having to watch it myself?

Next time post working links. Both error messages.

The media and Dems had years to prove Russian ties, months to prove quid pro quo, etc, and never did, yet that was all significant enough to run 24/7 and still get brought up at times going forward.

Regarding quid pro quo, even the senate Republicans admitted that he did exactly what the Democrats accused and eventually impeached Trump on, but they used their majority to rule it as an "unimpeachable offense".  Just because Trump won a purely political battle, doesn't mean he didn't do the act, or that it wasn't wrong.

Further, the Mueller investigation could not exonerate Trump of obstruction of justice in regards to the Russia investigation... ya know, the very act by which a sitting president could abuse their power to hinder an investigation.  Further, Mueller later clarified that he did not indict the president because of Department of Justice guidelines that said a sitting president could not be indicted.  Which is about as close as we'll ever get to hearing Mueller say "the president would have otherwise been indicted".

The official two impeachment offenses were abuse of power and obstruction of congress, but both of these were narrowly defined to his acts regarding Ukraine.  The House of Representatives should have been more broad, considering how frequently Trump was willing to obstruct legitimate investigations.  I doubt we'll ever know the full story of what was going on with Trump and Russia, but as the old adage goes "where there's smoke, there's fire".  Maybe Biden's administration will uncover something, but I'm not optimistic at this point.  The damage is done.

So I'll put this politely as I can:  Why make statements like this when there is so much evidence to the contrary?  Best case scenario, you are just ignorant.  Worst case scenario, you are blatantly spouting off misinformation to sow doubt.  Stop.

You will never know. I know exactly what the purpose of it was. There is no debate about it.

In other words: Who is Russias or Chinas prefered candidate?

You simply asked who. I sure hope you're not suggesting that anything that anyone says on this forum is insignificant.

The media and Dems had years to prove Russian ties, months to prove quid pro quo, etc, and never did, yet that was all significant enough to run 24/7 and still get brought up at times going forward.

The cheering and honking happened, quietly, by a few. If you compare that to the thunderous roar of the crowd the rest of the time, seeing conservatives as people who also need to be taken into account is clearly at the bottom of the priority list, which is the reason Trump got elected in the first place. Making the case again this early already is a terrible idea. Reflect, don't project was Biden's point.

Crickets by comparison. Do some people say PS4 is quiet? It sure is compared to the OG 360, but not to some other PS4's.

Well if you just look at what's been going on with the courts and Flynn, the courts can be a circus as well. Yes and no, back and forth. The legal process is like molasses, and the courts are anything but non partisan in today's age. The SCOTUS and how it's been viewed, especially more recently, makes that quite clear.

People are acting like what's happening is unprecedented. Trump not immediately conceding like Bush in 2000. Did Bush's lawyers go over their case with the media in it's entirety, with every last detail? A good lawyer wouldn't ever do that. General basic's maybe but that's it.

Trumps a reality star, who became Prez, yet he's still and always has been an idiot? That doesn't seem realistic if you ask me.

The difference between 2000 and now is that 2000 depended on one state Florida under 600 votes difference while 2020 is multiple states over thousands of votes in each state.   You can't compare the two elections.

Trump is a failed casino operator, ran scams like Trump university and trump charity which was shutdown due to buying personal things like a painting of trump with charity money.  He was a b list tv "star" and ran a shit show which you probably loved.   He lies out his ass and is incapable of telling the truth which you probably find as redeeming qualities.

He lost plain and simple and his loser ass can only cry fraud like he did in 2016 when he was upset he lost the popular vote.   Guess what his stupid commission that was supposed to find fraud in 2016 was disbanded due to not being able to find shit.   There was no wide spread fraud this election either.

Sure you can compare. Just not directly when it comes to everything. I wasn't comparing everything.

What do those things have to do with him being Prez? Can they be compared? The lying I'll give you, as that's a politicians specialty.

If there's no fraud then what's the problem with investigating? If they'll find nothing then it's more ammo to use against him, like if he runs in 2024.

The previous links had the right parenthesis included in the url, which is why you get an error if you click them. Easy to fix once you spot it though.

I imagine there are some people currently on the Trump administration who might get added (Fauci for instance) that may get added. The team is entirely doctors, most of whom have relevant expertise, such as virology or epidemiology. Seems like a well qualified bunch. Would like to perhaps see some non-medical personnel who might be able to give input on economic issues, or may have expertise in more logistical matters.

Unfortunately, Trump isn't merely checking the boxes to make sure everything is above board. He is also refusing to allow the transition team to begin the transition to a new presidency, which is potentially a threat to national security and a threat to the Federal government's ability to smoothly function upon inauguration.
