I don't think PS4 will reach 10 million in Japan at this rate.

That is dead obvious for a long time now.

I think the silver lining with the lack of OG Switch units is that people don't really care about the Switch Lite's lack of features compared to the OG Switch. If it can play the games they can play on OG Switch, then they don't mind the cheaper option, which appears to be more than readily available at this time compared to OG Switch.

People very much care, or else normal sales wouldn't be so much lower for the lite. Some people simply couldn't wait.

It only needs to average 10k per week for the next 2 years to reach 10 million. With ff7 remake, ghost of tsushima and price cut it will easily

We are out of OG Switches.

Also a PS4 promotion is going on.

Ah, I wondered what was with the jump up to 13k.

Switch shortages are really starting to bite. Hopefully Foxconn still plans to be up and running as normal by the end of March.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Week 10 marks the biggest year over year deficit Switch has had in 2020, but the comparisons will get easier from here on out. This week's drop in hybrid SKU sales makes me wonder if Nintendo is stockpiling units for the launch of Animal Crossing, because during 2017 it was common that notable Switch releases were accompanied by a higher number of Switch units during the period of ongoing shortages.

In any case, Switch hardware sales are still holding up well despite the lack of supply for the hybrid SKU. Next week's Lite sales should be good enough to pass the 1m total for 2020 YTD.

Not so sure about these things.

Care to explain why you arent sure it can average 10k for the next 2 years? Ps4 will sell at least 7k weekly. There will be few boost here and there with persona 5 royal, ff7, the last of us 2, ghost of tsushima, permanent price drop, holidays, promotion and so on.

The sales keep dropping harder and harder, "average 10k for the next 2 years" is almost a dream, more like average 6-7k for the next 2 years, and 10 - 15k for 1-2 weeks of ff7, the last of us 2, ghost of tsushima, permanent price drop and holidays. PS4 is a home console, not a portable, also, P5R already came out since last  year and ps4 sales number didn't even reach 10k in that week.

PS4 will get 9.5 million+ which is close enough. PS5 adoption imo will cut its tail more than the PS4 did for PS3 due to BC.
