Although very similar, Mario Kart Wii is an improvement on Mario Kart DD graphics and I prefer the way it looks.

It's the "depht" effect, which makes estimating distances easier, there's actually a big improvement in comparision to DD, and it tires eyes less. @Leo-J: How much do you want to bet, that in the video comparision both games are played with Wii. Oh, and in MK Wii, the MK64 tracks look better than the DD tracks, so N64 is more powerful than GC?

Wait. Are you admitting that higher resolution greatly improves a game even with cartoon graphics?
(wide screen compared to 4:3) I totally agree that higher resolution (HD) improves the game especially on HDTV even when a game has average graphics. Even playing pinball on the wii I wish the game was in HD.(atleast 720p widesccen)
