I really hope it's not true.

Thought it was going to be a prank. WTF. May he rest in peace, fantastic player.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

As a big Dwyane Wade fan growing up, I always kinda hated Kobe, but he was an immense competitor, and over time one naturally grows to have a lot more respect for players even when you grew up rooting against them. Always really sad when someone dies so young still, and I can only hope that it's not true his kids where on that chopper with him.

Confirmed his 13 year old daughter has died as well.

Really tragic. Liked him quite a bit.

This incident further reinforces my stance on helicopters. I'm never going to board one. There are far too many crashes and it can happen even to the most experienced pilots.

RIP to all. TMZ's contacts within the LAPD must be insane to always break these kind of news.

Sports illustrated is saying only one of his daughters were with him.
