Confirmed his 13 year old daughter has died as well.

Really tragic. Liked him quite a bit.

This incident further reinforces my stance on helicopters. I'm never going to board one. There are far too many crashes and it can happen even to the most experienced pilots.

RIP to all. TMZ's contacts within the LAPD must be insane to always break these kind of news.

Crazy... It feels surreal hearing, but people can be gone in an instant at any time.
He is an inspiration for so many people.

Sports illustrated is saying only one of his daughters were with him.

That's one too many

From what I can gather, the people on the helicopter were flying to either a basketball practice or a game at Mamba Sports Academy. 4 of the 5 were Kobe, Kobe's 13 yo daughter Gianna, one of her teammates who was also going to the practice/game, and her teammate's parent; I assume the 5th was the pilot. There were some reports that Rick Fox, another professional basketball player, was also on the helicopter, but those now appear to be false.

So somebody elses daughter was also lost.

This is crazy. I'm expecting this to be debunked any second now, fucking hell...

Besides Kobe and his daughter another parent and their kid were on their way to the same basketball game.
