What makes Abby supposedly a transwoman even though she seems to be voiced by a biological female? Well she has muscles, so isn't dainty and cute, so is therefore not really a woman at all! Or at least surely not a "cis" woman?

Why is Ellie's attraction to Dinah a political conspiracy against heterosexual relationships and men? Because in this game, they're trying to start a family together, which is something that heterosexual couples never do, especially in video games! See? EMASCULATION!!! Well actually first it was because they kissed in public (oh my god, no!), but more recently the explanation has changed.

Your whole post was great and spot on, especially this part which certainly raises a lot of suspicion on folk who say similar stuff.

Well thanks!

It's just obvious to me that characters who think like that...well they're doing a lot of projecting. They go around complaining that everything is being politicized without the self-awareness to realize that they're the ones politicizing everything.

"Heterosexuality should be outlawed" said no one ever! Seriously. "Homosexuality should be outlawed" said most all human societies in recent millennia. But WE'RE the ones politicizing sexual orientation here, you see. WE'RE the ones with a political agenda to impose on others against their will, you see.

Ya see what I'm saying? It's all projection: people who "call out" the "gay agenda" are just mentally transferring the way they think onto us. I'm not saying their concern that homosexuality will eventually become compulsory somehow is insincere, I'm saying that people who worry that such a conspiracy exists are so small-minded that they can't imagine anyone thinking about sexuality any differently than they do. They would impose heterosexuality on us, so surely we must be out to impose homosexuality on them. They simply can't imagine anyone thinking differently, less selfishly, than they do.

Wait... There isn't a Gay Agenda? My glitter cartel is at risk!

My perspective is that... There are a few individuals who are hostile towards the LGBTQI community on this forum via snide commentary, it's nothing serious and it usually gets dealt with. - But I am also Australian, we tend to give less of a shit.
The worst it gets is the same old typical conservative users having a moan about LGBTQI characters being in games, they will get over it, perhaps even grow up one day, they just make themselves look silly.

But overall, it's not overly toxic like some other outlets... And thus I personally don't feel "unsafe" or "uncomfortable" - Other users may of course feel differently, that's fine.
However... Chances are that if you are part of the LGBTQI community, you have been dealing with this your entire life anyway in various forms. (Not that it makes it alright to have to put up with it, far from it, this is a safe place for all users to be themselves.)

I would ask if you are LGBTQI and you find issue with how someone is treating you or the LGBTQI community in general, send me a message, don't think on it, just send me a message, bring attention to the individual issue.

If you are feeling distressed, upset or whatever... Again. Send me a message, I am all ears, the current lockdowns going on in many parts of the world is taking it's toll on some users, especially LGBTQI users who are stuck in homophobic environments with no reprieve.

Putting this thread into my watch-list, so I will be keeping an eye on it going forth.

Oh, there totally is a 'gay agenda'! It's just...uh...you know, not to be beaten and killed and have their rights trampled. Pretty simple, really. Love who you love, be smart and respectful about it, and be treated as equals!

Also, I'm Canadian and we similarly give only a fraction of a shit. We're pretty liberal and progressive here, aside from a small contingent of shitty people.

The question has been asked: "What would you like to see this thread used for if at all?"

My answer is anything. Politics, video games, the topic ideas Runa listed on the last page, why Runa keeps posting here despite ostensibly finding this thread a worthless and counter-productive "hate crime" (), whatevs, it's all good with me! Gay stuff. Very, very gay stuff. Stuff that's so gay it's homusexual with a glittery U. (Some fellow American will understand that joke.) And trans stuff is appropriate too. Also Enrico's troll posts. He should be granted a trolling ban exemption because, like movies that are "so bad they're good", his non-efforts are so uniquely pathetic that they provide the rest of us with legitimate value: laughter.

Actually, what I'd personally like to discuss right now is the weighty topic of the new She-Ra (gayest cartoon in history) season 5 trailer. I'll get us started: Are you excited or are you brain-dead?

Please refrain from calling users trolls... even in a weird... backhanded compliment or fronthanded insult kind of way.

I am so behind on She-Ra! It's such a great show but we haven't even finished season 3 yet. When does the new season premier? Might have to binge it.

The 15th, so just two weeks from now. Time to do that catching up!

Anyway, it just keeps getting better as it goes on. I've liked every season better than the one before it so far. I absolutely think the heavily character-driven approach that's been taken here was the right choice!

Also, AJ (Catra's voice actor) singing the theme song in this trailer...is incredible.

That's the best way to deal with a few closeminded people on the internet, they're made more important then they are and there are enough real problems outside of the internet that are worth trying to solve and more valuated being offended about.

I keep posting here because I - like Pepperidge farm - remember when this thread was actually fun and I want to be a part of it when it inevitably comes back to being fun. Or at least interesting. I also didn't agree with the direction I thought it was going and wanted to get it back on topic.

You and I seem to want the same thing, here. why call me out because I'm being vocal? Isn't that...sort of the point? On a forum?

Oh so that is what the pepperidge farm meme is,as a non American,Canadian it was kinda weird seeing people commenting about that and the whole memeculture has been so out of control that it loses my interest.

Bolded: Eh nothing wrong with being vocal so long that it does not turn into an US politics thread 2.0 with the same people going at eachother and other the forumdwellers staying out of it because their comments get lost in the conflict.

Question: Did you ever feel akward or unsure what to do around a gay person and if so, how did you learn from it or deal with that situation?(while growing up)
