I don't think that will happen this year, they've had way more prep time for this digital event compared to 2020, the reaction to splitting the events was poor too, I suspect they'll try to do a big E3 hence why they're merging Bethesda with the Xbox conference according to rumours but anything that doesn't make it will just be moved to the traditional Gamescon/TGA's.

I just think that this year's E3 will be more like last year's May showcase than traditional E3 scale show. At least basing on the insider info and that they all say that we shouldn't expect a lot of things at E3. So, E3 not being this year's headline showcase for Xbox makes sense.

Changing Xbox Games Studios to Xbox Studios doesn't work, when it comes down to it people call it by the first letter of each word.

So it goes XGS, which sounds fine.. now XS reads Xbox series, doesn't work at all.

You just proved my point that Xbox Game Studios is not the best name they could have came up with. It's not officially named XGS anywhere. It's a short for "Xbox Game Studios" used on the web because the full name is way too long. Just "Xbox Studios" is a shorter, simpler name that doesn't need to be shortened at all

lol no

Been playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided for quite some time now (I'd say there's maybe 30% of the main game left to play).

I'm having a good time but I can see why it didn't score as well as the prequel. Even though I've played this much, there hasn't been a single boss fight thus far. Compare that to the exciting boss fights in Human Revolution (which reminded me a bit of the boss fights in MGS4). The story, while not bad at all, doesn't grab me as much either.

However I do like that they went with Prague (even though it's a Cyberpunk version of it) and not some other city we've been to dozens of times. It's also more open world compared to Human Revolution but it works quite well. There are still missions that will take place in some completely different location but most of the time is spent in Prague.

Obviously I'm not done with the game but I would put it slightly below Human Revolution. But maybe that's only because the novelty factor has worn off a bit.

E3 is literally a month away, insiders can shut the fuck up now lol We can wait for the official date

If we get Omen and Starfeild Q1 next year that’s still pretty good.

Starfield early 2022 makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure why anyone wanted it to be released this fall at the same time as Halo will. It just doesn't make a lot of sense for MS to release any other big game around the same time as Halo tbh.

With Bethesdas track record with bugs they shoudl take all the time they need. Now they fall under MS they have no reason to rush releases.

Man, that would suck so much if true, it doesn't make much sense, one insider says they've removed stuff because they want more gameplay but Starfield may only receive a short trailer? Could E3 be too early for this year? Covid perhaps setting back gameplay? It's well known that developers hate making gameplay demos for E3 because of how time consuming they are and ultimately only used for that single event.

Starfield has a huge potential to be a great franchise, they should take all the time they need to make it so. That or make the sequel what it truly deserves regardless what reviewers/general public say about it once its released.

Tbh I have found it a bit weird that E3 is bragging about all these publishers taking part but none so far have detailed their plans for E3 as they usually do, their participation could be tiny, makes me think E3 is returning too early this year.

Jeff Grubb was speaking about Elder Ring the other day and said it has been hurt massively by the pandemic and likely won't be at E3 at all for example, EA is holding their conference on July 22nd, Lol.

Yeah they should take their time, it is what it is I suppose, I think Microsoft would want the 1st Bethesda release under them to be as good as possible, Bethesda games tend to be buggy as hell and I feel like they'd no longer get a free pass for that.

September for E3 makes a lot more sense, does feel too rushed to have it in June.

Sounds awful, AT&T sucks.

Sounds to me like the studios will be sold off individually, some will go to Discovery, some may go elsewhere, AT&T may keep some, I suspect AT&T won't keep some for very long though, they seem utterly clueless on what direction they want to go in and change it on a whim, I hope Microsoft is keeping an eye on things, hopefully AT&T doesn't just straight up shut down some of these.

I'm thinking AT&T will keep Netherrealm since they seem to be the most consistent money makers, as for the other studios, I'm slightly worried, sucks.

I'm kind of concerned now. RT in Discovery's hands is... eh... OTOH, after the Amphibia S2 fiasco, I don't trust Disney should be allowed to touch it with a ten foot pole. Definitely not Sony either. What does that leave in terms of media/gaming?

A secret part of me wants Bamco to snap them, if only to finally get that Tales of RWBY crossover I've been dreaming of.
