Been playing Doom Eternal on the XSX lately. Idk why I slept on the game before, it's pretty fucking amazing. I think it probably goes overboard with the collecting and unlocks, it seems like every gun has 2-3 upgrades, plus your suit has upgrades, plus you get upgrades for the general game itself, plus each utility has an upgrade. It reminds me a lot of Shadow of War where they had a good base (in this case Doom 2016) and just added too much shit. That annoyance aside, the game is incredible. And it plays so well on the Series X. I die a lot, it literally reloads in like 1.5 seconds. The traversal is also really good, and it's probably the only shooter around that actually puts effort into hiding its secrets and shit so that you actually have to look for them.

It would be pretty amazing to see id get a shot at something Halo related.

Yeah, there is a lot of different modes for each weapon and the suit.  You can pretty much finish the game on normal without really caring about all the different modes but if you go to Nightmare that is when each specific weapon and enemy really makes a big difference including your suit abilities.  Either way the game is definitely top on my list of FPS games.  As for doing something Halo related, hmmm I would actually love to see ID take on the Halo universe.  It would have to be something totally different and does not have the Master Chief.  You could think of it like Forza Horizon to Forza.  Something that goes totally different from the standard game with over the top mechanics.

Top E3 moments from Xbox in no particular order. Keep in mind, I didn't start watching E3's until 2008.

Studio acquisitions 2018

Rock band Beatles

Damn, there is quite a difficulty spike in Octopath Traveler.
The first chapter of every character was pretty easy. Only the boss caused minor problems (downed maybe one of my party members if any).

Started the first main mission in chapter two and the regular enemies are already quite a bit more challenging (but fair regarding the recomended level) but holy smokes the boss is way out of my league. The recommended level for the mission is 23 which is exactly the level of my main character (with the others being one or two levels below).
The boss and his two lackeys inflict about 50% damage to one of my characters in one blow, so everyone is down in two hits. Also his lackeys are preventing my efforts to "break" the boss. In the end I couldn't even take out one of the three enemies.

It feels like I'm either 10 levels too low or I'm badly equipped. Here's the thing though, equipment is really really expensive. Since monsters barely drop any money and the rewards from side quests are pretty bad, I'm constantly in need of money to buy weapon and armor upgrades.

Yah I noticed the same thing :) I have it on my Switch and started playing until getting the 3rd or 4th character which leads to level 15 or something and then the difficulty went up like crazy. I stopped to play as I wanted to really play it when I will have time and focus (I actually like that it is not super easy :)). But then, Microsoft did it again, and it is on GamePass so now I obviously want to play it there because of the achievements and being able to play basically on every device I own (the saves are shared between the PC and Xbox version too).

I got 6 characters so far (so did not start any "second" chapters yet) and as soon as get outside of the normal areas when it says "Level 15" or plus, even if my characters are level 20+ it can be really difficult...

Those boars for instances, I took me everything to kill them in that area south of where you get the hunter lady!

So yah, I feel like some grinding is required. Not a bad thing for me :) But yah, this is not a super straight forward game where you can just blast through the content without really bothering about difficulty!

@Imaginedvl

Personally only had trouble with that one boss.
I found some new equipment, gained a level or two but most importantly, unlocked a secondary job for my main characters. I didn't know this existed and accidentally stumbled unto one shrine where I got one. Then went straight for others. That way every party member had multiple different attacks, thus vastly increasing the chance of breaking the boss and his lackeys. An absolute requirement for chapter two if you ask me.

The fight still wasn't that easy. The thief, which I only use as a side character but I had to bring him with me since it was his story, died but once I got his lackeys out of the way, the main boss wasn't all too difficult anymore.
Then I immediately went on to do the second story path of the cleric and her boss was an absolute joke in comparison. So if you struggle I'd recommend you continue her story first.

lol I couldn't even find Truck Racing Championship in the TA database.
Turns out it's probably the American title for a game called FIA European Truck Racing Championship.

Seriously The Coalition, you saw nothing wrong with this character model?

Freaked me out the other day. It's like the episode of Seinfeld lol.
