I love Type-Moon's other works-- Fate/Stay and The Garden of Sinners --but I've never gotten into Tsukihime because the anime is shite and there's no official translation for the visual novel. I know past Melty Blood games included characters from those other franchises (or at least Ryougi Shiki from memory), so I'm hoping to see some of those soon.

This one happen to be the prequel to the VN remake, said remake got localization plans.

Prefect time to get into it.

There is some more good JP Xbox news today as well, in addition to the 6+ game Square Gamepass deal story that IGN broke. A new Melty Blood game was announced, developed by Type-Moon and French Bread and published by Arc System Works, and according to the magazine scan it is coming to Xbox One:

Considering that Arc support for Xbox this gen has been spotty at best, while French Bread hasn't released a single game in either their Melty Blood or Under Night In-Birth fighting series on Xbox up until this point, it's good news for sure. Slowly but surely Xbox has been winning more and more JP support in recent years. Rumor is that Type-Moon is also considering Xbox for their next Fate/ RPG.

I knew freaking Type Moon would arrive on Xbox before the Xbox One went out for good. I just knew it.

The bad news? It's arriving right as I am essentially being shooed out of the ecosystem. Bloody hell, I swear when I get back to Madried, there is going to be blood for this travesty. Right now, my only hope is that MS somehow buys Steam and some limited backwards compatibility ends up hitting Xbox...

At least I feel vindicated to some extent, it just sucks that my self fulfilling prophecy ended up taking place. Somehow, the system ended up going Sony and Nintendo's way rather than being the sterling standalone exception storefront, and even GOG fell... so I'm confined to Epic for any future gaming needs and every other gaming need regarding me.

Also, Tsukihime is my favorite, especially since they destroyed what interest I had in Fate by turning FGO into a glorified Azur Lane fanservice trash mobage. This and they crushed the overwhelming majority of other works by turning Extra into "who wants to be the coolest dude, bro!" the series.

Don't get your hopes up, Lol.

Unless you mean next year, Sony has probably extended the exclusivity.

Yeah, I mean when the Sony extension expires. We don't really know how long Sony extended it by, could be another full year (so April 2022 Xbox release), could be 6 months (October 2021 Xbox release).

Or Sega got around that part with the name change for the PS5 version and that version will come out on the PS5 and Series X.  Since they they are still in a marketing position, they could not make any Xbox announcements yet but will closure to release of that version.  Its gives me that Ninja Gaiden Sigma feeling.

Well...Unless they're talking about menu music, I can't recall Halo multiplayer ever having written music so this would line up with that BTB 2.0 rumour, hmm.

Yeah, I can't see them putting music into ranked arena as that is more hardcore competitive focused and the competitive types wouldn't want to be distracted by music. If they do have a musical score for each MP map or something, I would expect that those songs will only play on the new BTB 2.0, or arena maps on social playlists.

It will probably be the same option like it is within Call of Duty where you have the option to turn on or off music within multiplayer games.  Also you have control of the volume so that if you need to listen to those precious footsteps and other sounds to help you in MP, then you still can hear them and have the music as a backdrop.

Check the Rewards App on Xbox to find a 500 points punch card for FIFA 21 (game not needed to finish punchcard).

Banished Scarab possibly confirmed also in the same hidden audio: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/mdbc04/banished_scarab_possibly_confirmed_the_image_of/

I really hope so. Fighting Scarabs was some of my favorite moments in all of the Halo Games. One of the things that irked me with Halo 4 and 5 was the lack of Scarabs.

I think it's great that developers have a moment to talk about their games they've been working very hard on. This moment is huge for a lot of them. They are trying something new, and this format will give more awareness to these games.

Calling these games trash? Grow up.

No disrespect to the developers but people don't have the attention span to listen 15 minutes + of developer speak per game, how long is this event? It feels like 80% has been talking so far and 20% has been game footage, Lol.

This is really badly formatted, if they copied a Direct format they could have developers speak over the gameplay trailers of certain games to explain them and that would cut time down significantly.

I know its not for everyone but i really enjoy watching indie devs talk about their games.

If you want to save some time cut the two main hosts that add nothing interesting.
