Xbox Network sounds awfully corporative for gaming.
F2P games will be going gold-less soon, maybe they are dropping some more gold requirements around the same time.
By dropping the value of gold, in terms of what it gives, and giving game pass more and more support, at some point they will get what they want.

Surely they can't. Xbox Live has big brand value.
But there is definitely some rebranding going on, presumably to make "xbox" itself the service. So that people associate Xbox itself as an ecosystem rather than a console. Getting rid of "Live" branding could be seen as a step towards that.
But this story makes no sense of the OS calling it the "network".

There's a work around for that. Basically, you download and activate only the mod for running 60fps, restart the game, then deactivate the mod. Something like that. Keeps the game at 60, but without the game thinking you're using mods, and disabling chievos.
