IMO Valhalla doesn't even feel that big. Maybe it's beacuse everything looks rather same-ish and there's a fast travel point every 300 meters or so.
I looked at a comparison and the land size of Odyssey and Valhalla are very comparable. Including sea, Odyssey is a good bit bigger but not as big as AC4.

@DroidKnight
I did a good bit of hunting in Origins as well. Sadly, it's completely pointless in Valhalla. You get like 1 or 2 pieces of leather from an animal but find around 40 in every 2nd chest.... and every place has multiple chests - especially in towns.

^^ That

Odissey is bigger in term of content than Valhalla. (And it is the better game too...).

Valhalla, blue shits (the blue dots...) and collectible are just so badly designed and not even connected to each others; they are here just to make us run everywhere to spend more time in game and brings nothing but frustration at the end; same goes with the items and like pointed out, the hinting/gathering is basically gone too. Not sure WTF the director of Valhalla had in mind by taking what made Odyssey amazing and basically removing all of it to make this abomination.

I get that some people prefer the old AC and this could have been a good reason to maybe make changes, but Valhalla is not even going back there.

Starting to feel the burn on AC Odyssey. Good God, I can't imagine how much bigger Valhalla has to be. I'm on the second part of the last DLC 1000'ed main story. Did like majority of the ?s too, minus like 4 in the last region.

Haven't had the opportunity to pump in too many hours into Origins yet, but If I don't pick up my pace I'll be delaying playing Odyssey till after Elden Ring and Tiny Tina.

I may also be playing Origins wrong, if there is such a thing.  It's my first Assassin's Creed to ever play and I find myself easily sidetracked.  I can spend hours just hunting down Lions, Hippo's, and ambushing the cargo transfers for resources to do my upgrades.  I also like shoving some of the innocent people around.

I just barely got this achievement yesterday.

And I'm already 30 hours in.

I feel like your 170 plus hours will be matched.  I'm really enjoying my gameplay and hope Odyssey is just as good. I will most likely play something in between the titles to try and avoid burn-out.

lol yeah I pretty much played how you are playing, very easily distracted with side content. I will say my hours are inflated on Origins and Odyssey due to not quitting and leaving it on. I think Origins was around 80 hours total, and so far with Odyssey around 120 even though it says like 200 for me now.

I went straight from Origins to Odyssey, which I was somehow able to do, but there's no way I'm going to Valhalla until the DLC drops in March at the earliest. I guess JRPG panty sims have given me that extra stamina. :)

I remember Unity being the first one I actually played by myself and that one had a lot of collectibles. Then syndicate and then the RPGs. And yeah for that quest i think it took me awhile as well to get back into it. I pretty much cleared the entire map and all locations before the level 12 main quest. I would clear an area, and then move on to the next zone. And I kept doing that to where I was level 40 and the main quest was level 12. Unfortunately, this made me have to go back to a lot of the same locations to do side quests. Because I already did them before it stretched the game out even longer.

I'm going to need some faster completion games after Odyssey for sure.

Ain't Outer Wilds on GamePass for years?

Gorogoa is an awesome game, played it on my iPad.

And I'm glad that I didn't buy Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Steam Sale.

Outer Wilds got taken off around the middle of last year, but yea, it was on GP for a long time prior to that. Didn't stay gone very long either. They're probably hoping this will boost their DLC sales.

Judging by the look of the new Saints Row, I'd say their lead tech artist ain't much of a get.

Jeez that dude was at Volition for 22 years.

Quite a few Volition veterans going to Undead Labs.

So we have the HQ, an animation/support studio and now third 3rd studio doing unknown stuff, I'm assuming assisting main team, new studio head of UL is really expanding them.

Compulsion and Undead Labs are the 2 Xbox studios that have had the most growth for sure! Even inXile has grown quite a bit with a brand new headquarters and a new sister studio in Louisiana. I'm assuming Xbox is getting all 3 studios AAA ready.

I think the only studio that won't grow as much is Double Fine.

Cool I was thinking last week that the next expansion announcement isn't to far away and usually mid January for a June release. I'm guessing this tomorrow will be an announcement of the announcement stream maybe a tease of the name of the expansion.

I've been really wanting to get back into ESO on the Series X since it got updated to current gen but I thought we would of got cross-progression by now and I could take my PC save over but I dunno about it anymore I know Zenimax said they didn't want crossplay a couple years back but I'm expecting that to change as more games offer it and how Xbox are pushing for it.

Maybe I should forgot about my PC save and just get it over with and start up again on console I've only got one maxed char and 300 veteran levels but it's the bonus pets skins etc from over the years oh and the tons of crowns I accumulated when I left my ESO Plus sub active for almost a year before I realized I forgot to cancel it lol.
