Indeed, but there are much more negative facts than positive ones, and if we wanna focus on graphics, just compare to pretty much any other Switch game. Anyway, the point was to show there is such a thing as objective value and standards. For you to jump in to his defense, I'd rather your purpose be to spite me than to seriously believe objective and subjective mean the same thing.

No one ever said they were.

You did, or at the very least you were implying objectivity isn't a thing, that we can only look at game prices based on feelings.

Anyway forget that, are you ever going to acknowledge that Game Freak said they're going for quality?

I didn't see the original title, but it must be as simple as "(...) GF's choice of visuals."

Yep that's it. Felt strange that the OP took the time to write out 6 paragraphs but decided to save time on the title with GF instead of Game Freak.

Save time? ...Hehe. Monkey see, monkey do.

Nintendo has to step in and provide a free patch that brings this game to the quality that the title promises.

The title promises the same Pokémon experience that has existed for over 10 years, with a few worse things here and there. No need for a patch.

Yes ten year old technology in 2019. Patch it up.

You were trying to imply opinion on how much something is worth is objective.  I said it is not, as it is subjective.

Please pay attention.

The game isn't perfect but no where as bad as some are making it out. It is a good game and I expect any follow ups will be even better. Clearly GF struggled a bit with the HD transition.

Oh please. How many times are we going to give companies a pass for this? It's 2019 already. HD development should not be an issue, especially for one of the biggest IP's in the world. They rushed it out to catch holiday sales and the game suffered for this. Its bad when EA, Sony, and MS are doing this, it's bad when Nintendo is doing it.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

There is one simple reason. Why pay more to make something when you can pay less and get the same results.

Confectionery and other junk food is a class example where chocolate bars, packets of crisps etc have gotten smaller over the years, but the price has gone up.

Making a giant leap in visuals will cost more and make them less money. If they can keep things basic, they need less time, less skills, less staff and people will still buy the game so profits will be higher.

Whoever said life to be like a box of chocolates clearly didn't know what he was talking about.

Life is more like a game of bumper cars. At every turn there is a possibility you will get screwed.

2019 has nothing to do with it.  Look at GameFreak in particular, they have very little experience outside portable gaming devices.  Clearly they have struggled with the transition.  Certainly the game was rushed as well.  And nobody is getting a pass.  S/S is sitting at an 81 at Meta.  It isn't sitting at a 97 with 80 perfect scores.  Reviewers have noted the issues facing the game.  The folks here won't STFU about it.  The reality is S/S is a good game, not great, but not horrible either.  And the haters can't stand that it is a good game.

Double post.
