Great sales for Smash, really quite a great game.  I have enjoyed a bunch of hours playing local MP with the family.  Well done Nintendo.

Come on now, VGChartz doesn't hate Nintendo. Some users do but they're definitely a minority.

Anyway, congrats to Ultimate. Well deserved and props to Sakurai and his team!

If a game like Ultimate leads to sales like this, I think these games deserve the attention.

A crossover that matches up to the likes of Avengers, Justice League Unlimited, Godzilla vs. King Kong, and the Universal monsters of the early-mid 20th century.

There is no way in hell Bayo 3 is not ready to show by now when it's been in production for over two years, unless they straight-up lied when they said earlier this year that development was going well and it's in fact gone completely off the rails.

I get that it's big, I just personally find it annoying that even a year after its release they're still likely going to take up precious time in a major presentation just to show DLC for a game I don't give a crap about instead of stuff I desperately need to see like Bayonetta 3, BOTW2, or an exciting new game. I'm willing to bet we don't either any of that at the VGAs, just Fighter 5 and indie crap and probably a boring old port/remaster like Metroid Prime Trilogy HD.

I'm almost willing to bet that they will show the former at the VGAs as their big announcement, but none of the latter. It's like a get-out-of-jail-free card for them, they can throw us a smash character to shut us up while holding back on actual games we haven't properly seen yet.

I love both Smash Bros. and Street Fighter, but Smash has a special place in my heart.

Me and my friends loved to play Smash 64 back in the day. It was just a lot of fun.

Then that's up to PlatinumGames. So Nintendo cannot really do anything.
