That is how it is for the players (you don't do heavy ads to gain marketing of the move, you just do it, otherwise it just seems like virtuo signalizing).

Usually when I press someone on the origin of these type of comments, I find that (surprise surprise) no one here on VGC actually said that. And they can't even point me to wherever they supposedly read it either.
Although I'm sure it exists. Because you can find any opinion online if you look hard enough. That's not an excuse to generalize for the sake of starting trouble.

The most I can remember of seeing here was either "I don't care about this feature", "this is anti-costumer" or "Sony is not allowing it to not benefit their competitor".

Good. I don't really play online that much on my PS4, but there's no reason to not have crossplay on the system. It's simple convenience that doesn't really have any downside.

This whole debate was one of the weirdest this gen had, people acted like PS4 never had it when some games aren't even on Xbox because it did.

happy for this my kids mainly game on xbox and their cousin games on ps4 now they can play more than just fortnite together online hopefully

Probably thinking of “for the children!”. There were other excuses thrown out. If only this place had search functionality that wasn’t doodoo.

This is great news for gamers though. Probably won’t affect most as most play the popular stuff that has no user base problems on any console. But lots of games can benefit from it.
