You could just get a Windows phone.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
It would be interesting, maybe in the future. But for now, Microsoft is more focus on other endeavours.
I may be wrong but every mini console has been 4th gen gaming or earlier. PS1 was fifth gen and those games look horrible now. Never should have been released as a mini.
A huge driver for these mini consoles is the nostalgia that goes along with the value. With the original Xbox, I just don't think enough people have that nostalgia factor for it to be a success.
Totally useless, better work to put all their games available all the time anywhere. Whether on xbox, pc or xcloud.
Shrinking the OG XBOX would get you a console the size of a PS2, so that might be the problem.
Definitely. The Xbox would hugely benefit from a mini console making its games more widely available. The system has a load of unappreciated gems that would be great to see highlighted on a mini console.
That said, there are some potential drawbacks to such a mini console. For one, it’ll require more powerful hardware to emulate well than other mini consoles, and it’s controller is more complex. Combined with its DVD-sized games, and this thing WILL probably need to be more expensive than other mini consoles. But I do hope we eventually get 6th gen mini consoles, especially as they all begin to turn 20 years old.
The polygon-based games without pre-rendered or 2d backgrounds are profiting immensely from higher resolutions. So why should I want to play original Xbox games in 480p when I can play them in 4K on an Xbox One X or Xbox Scarlett?
