Why limit yourself to 20m though? If you can do 25m-30m? Id try to lower prices and aim for the moon.

Pursuing pricecuts too aggressively too quickly will result in a more rapid degradation of perceived value.  You'll hit your pricing floor faster,  which will put you in the position of not being able to cut prices to keep up the momentum built mostly on bargain pricing.  Look at Xbone.  MS abused the fire sale strat so much early on that for the past couple years trying to sell the Xbone at MSRP was a lost cause.  Sales soared when they did firesales...at first.  But every bump got lower and lower.  And after each and every one, sales cratered.  The Xbone isn't worth what MS needs to actually be selling it at anymore, not in the eyes of the consumer.

Or to put it more simply, you always ere high because you would rather be a bit high and have to do a little trimming than too low.  Because you can always lower the price, you can never raise it.

Theres a solution to that though..... dont raise the prices back up.
Perm price cut = constant effect.

The problem comes into play when you play around with prices and them have them soar back and forth.
Consumer realises you do this constantly.... they wait for the price cut times to buy.

Just dont try fooling the consumer?

Xbox did it alot, they basically relied on these firesales to show they where competeing.
Consumer caught on, and basically only bought when there was a firesale.

Nintendo wouldnt have to do such a thing for years to come, to sell their hardware.

Expect to see much more emphasis on games with a handheld focus feature set.. The whole "hybrid console" was nothing more than a marketing ploy for the get-go.

Yeah... no.

99.9% of Switch games work in handheld mode already, there's not going to be any change in games development.

"The whole "hybrid console" was nothing more than a marketing ploy for the get-go." - You can play the Switch on a TV, you can play 4 player splitscreen, it can be used as a home console.

It is a hybrid console, it is not a "marketing ploy"

smfh

I don't get it. Barely any smaller and cant play all games. Are there really that many people who only play in handheld mode?

Well, the price looks good, but since its purely a handheld I'm not really interested. The normal switch seems like the much better option still.

Do we know when pre-orders go up?

Thats actually slightly dissapointing.
Screen shrunk more than it looks like it needed too (look at the wasted area around the screen).
Battery life is only +30 minuets more?

What happend? did they even make use of the new chips?
Wheren't they supposed to be useing 16nm chips for these? or will there be a refresh with newer models to both soon?

ei. dont be a early adoptor of this lite model?

I mean, smaller Switch, smaller battery. Even so 4 hours playing Zelda Botw (one of Switch's most battery intensive games) is a nice bump, I was never expecting anything crazy.

Cnet states the Lite is using a more efficient processor than the Nintendo Switch.

"And it should also have better battery life -- roughly 20-30% more, depending on the game. The Switch Lite uses a more efficient processor that enables smaller heat vents on top of the system."

Okay so releases with Zelda, cool beans

Now the watch begins for the Switch Pro .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Does anyone know of games that don't support handheld mode? From what I recall all the games I own do support it.

Signature goes here!

I can't think of much outside of 1-2-Switch and Nintendo Labo.
