Another studio :O

And THQ goes on with purchases. I hope THQ can infuse a bit better quality control, because this was always lacking with Piranha Bytes, their games were quite buggy.

Yupp... but at the same time its THQ Nordic so I would not hold my breath. I love Piranha Bytes games but damn some of their day 1 releases are close to unplayable. I still remember that Gothic 3 needed 2 years post-release to become a good game.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I'm starting to wonder where does THQ gets so much money from, given how many studios they're buying.

Also, ELEX 2 has all but been confirmed.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

They are quite good managing money. They port a lot and make remasters and rereleases. This is cheap to do but usually brings in good money. And all the studios they buy are small, Piranha Bytes has 30 employees.

The one thing I don't understand to this day is how they could aquire Koch Media. Koch is really big (800 people). This was a pretty big fish to swallow. How Nordic was able to do that is beyond me. Small studios like Piranha Bytes is another thing.

Well, it played out as I hoped for, I really appreciate THQ Nordic's A/AA focus and PB made some of my favourtie games ever, so this is great news.

It's the rate at which they're buying studios that really surprises me. Now it's Piranhya Bytes, in February was Warhorse Studios. in January was the rights of the game Outcast, in Dacember was Carmaggedon, in November was developer Bugbear and the rights of the Expeditions games, and the list keeps growing.

They seem to be in a rush to buy as many studios/game rights as they can.

But yeah, they're good at managing their money.

Yeah, but the number of studios they aquire is not so impressive, if you look how small they all are. I think only Warhorse had more than 100 employees. All other are a lot smaller. Koch Media are over 1000 employees, and I am not sure it includes all the studios from Koch like Deep Silver, Volition and Fishlab.

I hope they replaced everyone that had the absolutely dreadful decision to do an AMA on 8chan at THQ Nordic.
