Forums - Gaming Discussion - 'Sonic the Hedgehog' Movie Will Reportedly Have A Video Game Tie-in(Confirmed: April Fools)

So according to Comicbook.com, the next mainline Sonic game will be a movie tie in with this movie. If this is true then the game will be out this November in time for the movies release. Can't say this will be a good look for Sonic after coming off a game like Sonic Forces.

The news of this just has me feeling like this

What did we do to deserve this?

I'm convinced they're actively trying to kill the franchise

I want a new Sonic game as good as Sonic Colors, but I feel like it's not going to be this one.

Ok. I won't watch the movie nor will I play the game, so I don't care. Poor Sonic, though, SEGA just can't stop beating him to death

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Everything about this screams bad idea

They`ve tried for years, but people keep buying the games...

Or at least keep him at a endless zone of mediocrity.  They do some things to redeem themselves, so you think they are on the right track, only for them to release a couple more shit products.

Tie ins are usually bad, when it is a movie that is an adaptation from a game it is even worse... when the movie seems to be terrible like this we can only expect record breaking shitness.

April fool's? Or is this confirmed?
