I guess we are seeing the extreme and last limit of what the Switch can do with nothing vs the PS4 with releases and some price cut. One more week before the Switch gears up for 2019 with FFVII and Yoshi CW.

I suspected that PS4 would be on topic this week knowing that switch didn’t do 70k in japan. On another note, the switch hit 3 million for the year

So switch is gonna maybe be at 18.5mil fro the fiscal year?

I would be shocked if it isn’t

If VGC estimates by the end of calendar year 2018 are correct, there's such a big gap between LTD shipments and LTD sell-through (2.8m) that the current quarter has to see a correction to lower this gap to a more reasonable level. In other words, shipments should be expected to be lower than sell-through, so ~3.5m sell-through would result in shipments of ~3m.

With shipments of ~14.5m through the first three quarters of this fiscal year, you can expect a total of up to 18m if you want to be optimistic. Realistic expectations should be set to ~17.5m while a cautious stance would fall into the 17.1-17.3m range. 18.5m is definitely too high.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Switch isn't the best performer here it's the ps4 in its 6th year. Yes 6th year

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Wow those PlayStation 4 sales, that system that came out on the month of November (15 for NA and 29 for PAL) in the year of 2013, and a later release in Japan on Feb 2014, with still such a strong performance in the year 2019, almost 6 years.

A nice virtual between the two leading boys ... now if only we could get stats for European sales at some point ...

Japan has been the reason why Switch has been selling more than PS4 for weeks this year. It is the difference maker. Take it out or make the Switch numbers equal with PS4 and PS4 would be outselling it every week.

Note: I don't care for the PS4. Just stating the obvious that this is more impressive for PS4 with how old it is.
