I bought it for Xbox One. Beat Claire A and Leon B to get the true ending. I got a C during Claire and a B with Leon (who wasn't Chris, btw!).

How do I unlock their 1998 costumes?

amazing game and special in this time a game have the elements of past and modern games together well done capcom

The two main things that bug me about this game are the RNG elements with zombies, and well, the zombies not staying dead. Nearly every other medium out there that deals with zombies has respected the old style play of "bullet to the head", even those like 28 days later, or the Walking Dead. Capcom on the other hand, refuses to adhere to the logical rule of thumb that the undead have had going for decades. See BLizz at least follow some logic when it comes to mythical creatures like Orcs and Wisps, yet Capcom doesn't want to and instead thinks that's a good idea, when in reality it isn't, it just ruins the core element of survival horror, especially since no conservation of ammo will help you do away with many of the undead.

I noticed this during the demo, and while it was neat to hear a zed that I killed 15 mins ago, now getting up and groaning again was cool, but now playing the full game, man does it get super annoying to waste a lot of ammo on head shots, when the reality of just cutting their legs and arms saves you on ammo and does a better job. How could Capcom screw something like that up?. Why does slicing the arms and legs become superior to just 1-2 bullets in the head?. The funny thing is, many of Resi's boss fights ended with either a rocket launcher to the face, or a single cinematic bullet to the head. It just ruins all logic when they choose to go back and forth with "bullet to the head kills them, but doesn't when we don't want it to".

The other thing that gets me is the magic of Tyrant 003 being ruined, simply because Capcom couldn't code an AI to actively wander about on it's own. That recent glitch video just shows us that the AI is tethered to us, very much like rubber banding, which helps the AI, but not us and I honestly loathe that. I really am getting fed up with the lack of developing decent AI. This entire gen has revolved around nothing but bullet sponging, or AI that knows exactly where you are, a swell as being both tethered to you, and having catch-up mechanics.

Game is good for sure, but things like poor AI and RNG bullet sponging simply ruin some aspects of the game for me.

I hope next gen consoles allow for a massive ramp up in AI development, because I'm sick of low level brainless AI, that needs to be hooked to you and cheat to remain somewhat threatening/competitive.

I agree with everything you mentioned, the RNG inconsistency is another sore point , shoot one zombie 2 /3 times and it's head splits so one dead zombie, shoot another one from the same distance and 5 shots later it falls only to get up almost immediately .I remember one particular one that I felt was never going to die took 12 bullets to the head I should have left it but it was in a high traffic area.

I've found the best way to deal with zombies is to just identify which ones will be in your way and just head shot them with the shotgun to move through the area the handgun ironically is good against bosses but rubbish against Zombies.

Some have even gone so far as to having to shoot one 12 times+ shoving a flashbang in their mouth and then another 3 shots afterwards. It completely throws away any kind of immersion or feeling like you've actually accomplished anything.

I read somewhere that the game has an adaptive difficulty. Maybe that's why some zombies die in one shot and others die after damn near a dozen. The game is trying to make itself easier when you're low on ammo and harder when you're a walking tank.

I prefer the RE4 style where you would find different stuff depending on how your progress was going (more/better ammo, health, etc).

...

Yea... and whats up with zombies mutating into long tongued, brainy, skinless monsters... Luckers or whatever those are called. Zombies never do that. They didnt do that more than 20 years ago. Them Japanese and their fancy shmancy. No respect of our rich western (pop) culture. Tsktsk, bioweapons to mutate humans into resilient monstrosities. What will they come up next? Some radioactive dinosaur creature that can take a nuke head on and survive?

Cant confirm. Plenty of ammo left after i cleared every room in the RPD (on the way to the orphange). With 3 jars of gun powder in the inventory.

That little RNG some people need to vigorously complain about adds to the feel of scarcity, not knowing exactly how many enemies you ll be able to finish off with the amount of ammo you have, makes you (re)consider the resources you get and how to make best use of them.

Not only is it staying true to the vision behind the orginal, but enhances and improves the gameplay, adding a little extra to the grand scale puzzle.
