Forums - Gaming Discussion - Farming Simulator 19 has a C64 version

Yes, that is right, a 2018 released game has a C64 version. That's more of a joke than anything, but still it is a fully playable game, which brings the main gameplay of Farming Simulator to the C64. It is contained in the Colelctor's Edition on CD to play with an emulator or to copy on disks to put into your actual C64.

But for the press kit was even a cartridge included:

The game is fully playable and was built by a demo group on order of Giants Software.

I'll wait for the Digital Foundry review to see if it's a good enough port and then decide if I get it or not.

Awesome, I love things like this.

More proof that you can port any game to any platform if you really want to!

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Want to see if the game tops 10 Fps and 240i resolution?

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I wouldn't say so. First of all, it isn't said that these developers (by the way: Singular Crew from Hungaria) could do something else. They are a demo group for the C64, so they probably have a lot of insight into the C64 workings, but that doesn't translate into skills for other purposes. And secondly it probably was a lot of fun doing it, and fun stuff is never a waste.

If it doesn't I'll join the PC Master Race.

Had C64 back in 80s. I've just recently stumbled upon this:

I had no idea that, apparently, porting to C64 is a thing...

Oh, wow, nice find. Apparently for some indies it is a thing, jokingly or serious, to support devices they grew up with. I was aware of Sam's Journey from 2015, which only came out on C64. Also Pier Solar and the great architects was released 2010 on Sega Genesis, before it was ported 2014 to more modern platforms, and 2015 to Dreamcast. Apparently Dreamcast is also a very loved platform targeted by some newer games.
