Sadly it happens. Even if it does 1.1 Million in November you will see people spinning that as a huge negative. Even if that is an insanely good number, because sales people expectations > Positive Numbers.

Would a 1.1m November really be an insanely good number? Maybe the success of this generation has warped my thinking, but that doesn't really impress me. 1m is likely the minimum bar for a American November for a console to be relevant.

Considering it's got Pokemon launch and a $299 MK8D Black Friday bundle included? 1.1m would be an alright result, but nothing worth celebrating imo.

Nintendo consoles trend towards bigger December's than November's. This November is looking like a nice jump for the switch. But December is where we need to look for Nintendo, especially with there biggest game of the year coming.

They usually have price cuts associated with it. I think it could be this generation that has warped the perception. I remember when 700,000 was considered really good last generation. Given at the same time, this is going to be a generations that doesn't have 45 million selling console at the same time. So nothing makes sense!

(Not value price cut, but hard actual $299.99 going to $199.99 type deal.)

I must admit I'm a little confused. There are people saying this isn't impressive considering x and y system, for the total month. So does that mean that the Switch was just doing "pretty good" until this black friday weekend?

In all fairness my predictions are right, his are not

I got many of predictions right, i have never even seen any of your predictions honestly.

I predicted switch sales wouldnt fall off a cliff and that it would win at least 1 npd this year. And you dont have many predictions right, there is a reason you get called out alot.

I keep getting called out on same prediction i made a year ago, it's rather pathetic since i already admitted many times i was wrong.

Goal pushing and downplaying as well. Your just the type that never understands what they're doing is wrong and irritating.

Ex is now that because CM is part of Nov sales, a 1.1m (or higher?) Isnt good enough. If switch were to hit 19.5mil you still go on and on to only the people who were confident of hitting the mark. Its just who you are unfortunately.

As for my predictions i know they are extremly bold but half the time it comes out true while the other half its close enough.

So should I rip off my tie, scream to my students that Nintendo won, and jump out the first floor window and leave my classroom in anarchy? Or should I resume teaching?

But what about the third half?

switch in the US at the end of october was 7.38 million units sold according to NPD data we have, according to nintendo as of November 26 it has sold 8.2 million, so that actually les then a million, but this is that I will be using till NPD comes out, nintendo data is some what off sometimes but its the best data we have for now.

And that 7.38 million figure comes from.....?  Because NPD didn't say it.  Nintendo didn't say it.  So again, it's numbers and time frames that are not fully known.

By the way, did you know the October reporting period officially ended on Nov 3? You keep saying end of October.  By saying a range such as "end of October", you could be missing almost a whole week of sales.

so do you believe magicporks leaks? because that's all it comes down too, when i mean end of october i'm talking about the last NPD reporting period, which is NOV 3 same thing.
