As I feared, all the critics are giving this game a pass.

Nice conspiracy theory... You said it deserves a 67 on another thread

How did that work out? Your blind hate of gen 1 is common in a small group of the pokemon community and will not hurt this games imminent success.

Nobody hates gen 1 Pokémon just because they're gen 1. The issue is that Game Freak keeps favouring and keeps overexposing these Pokémon (and a select few others), just because they can make the most money with them. One of the most appealing things about Pokémon has always been the huge number of creative designs, but it in the past few years GF started to ignore that more and more, because exploiting nostalgia is a lot easier.

This group of people in the Pokémon community who 'hate gen 1' exists because seeing the same Pokémon over and over again simply gets boring after a while.

Is this game comparable to say Pokemon Yellow/Red/Emerald or whatever fully realized experience? Or is this some side thing?

Question about the game.
Is trading in it and if it is will we need the online sub to do trades?

Fucking hell, look at that. All the best Pokemon games have the lowest scores. Emerald/B2W2/Colo/XD and the first two sets of MD games are the best games in the franchise. Complete bullshit.

Online trading/battling is in, but only if they're registered as friends on your console, and you both have subs to Nintendo Switch Online. Local trades/battles are in too, but don't require the sub.

You can trade Pokemon in the game. You don't need an online subscription to trade if you're doing that with local communication. You will need it if you want to trade with others through online communication, though.

Thank you.

Pokeball Plus is clearly not made for adult hands

Interesting. Now find the one that released on the Switch.

Edit: I'm gonna regret getting into this.

Games don't get higher scores just because they're on the Switch. If that were the case, it would mean that Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces, Arms and Super Mario Party all are terrible games.

However, I do feel like high budget games often get a score that's a bit too high compared to smaller titles. Which (partly) explains why the games in the picture got such low scores.

(And Pokémon Emerald and B&W2 got these undeserved low scores because some reviewers don't like the fact that they weren't very different from the original versions.)
