If the American right, without question, followed the ways of a guy who was immortal in a sense, without taking into account that their simply mortal beings who aren't guaranteed eternal life in heaven, instead of being crucified by Pontius Pilate, they would all have been 'crucified' by Adolf Hitler instead, and the entire world would revolve around Nazism now. You get back to me when it's the Democratic leader begins complaining about the war on Christmas, appoints a creationist vice president, and signs executive orders allowing churches to remain tax-exempt while endorsing and financially backing political candidates. Come back when it's the Democrats leading the charge for creationism in public schools, using the bible to justify the separation of migrant children from parents, and fight to end the separation of Church and State.
