#24 is Infotron.

Hehe, I actually never heard of Infotron. The video shows it is the game I have in mind. So a quick look at Wikipedia... yes, Infotron was the Mac-port of Supaplex, the game I meant. Seemingly music and maybe some level design was changed. But yeah, as it is a port, I give it to you.

I didn't know the game existed, So I started googling your hint (only the word Infotron) and it somehow got me this result which is the actual title of the port. Pretty coincidental.

Second hint, it’s easy;

#27: This flagship Wii title is one of the few Nintendo games that also released outside a Nintendo platform.
Hint 2: And this happened earlier this year, though I think it’s only available in China.

Super Mario Galaxy.

Correct!

Tagging this. I gotta play catchup and read everybody's posts. Currently on page 8.

Super Mario Galaxy

Where Nintendo ventured into new areas during the 7th Generation, we would thankfully still get entries into some of their most revered series. Among them the 3D Mario platforming adventures and what we got with 'Super Mario Galaxy' was one of the prime examples in the genre as a whole.

Like any Mario game, Mario needs to rescue Princess Peach. Bowser has taken her and the castle into space however and each level is a collection of small planets, around which Mario can move in a spherical motion, in a tiny "galaxy". The concept and mechanics of moving 'upside-down' was actually tested briefly in 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess', with the Iron Boots on magnetic surfaces. This gameplay idea gives the game a very fresh premise, which is instantly interesting in the way it opens up new gameplay experiences and surprisingly fresh level-design. There are however also 'flat' classic-styled levels and slides, plus additional collectable Stars for which special objectives need to be completed, which means the game offers plenty of platforming variety.

Besides that, the small confined spaces made for the Wii to even be able to unexpectedly shine in a graphical way, and the game doesn't look out of place next to games from the much more powerful competitor systems. The second game looked even better, but I feel the hub-world and the hidden story in this game, presented as a bed-time fairy tale, make it come out on top. In any case, after a period of disinterest, 'Super Mario Galaxy' made a strong case to me in favor of returning to console gaming.

#25: A french town in this game, which is one of the most popular multiplayer maps, and remade in couple of it's successors, is also seen, pretty much exactly the same, in an excellent mini-series by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.

Alright, time for another set of hints:

#24: The best NES game ever made.

#23: The crossover so weird it never should have worked, but somehow they pulled it off. The second game in the series.

#22: Jump into the TV, literally.

#21: The supposed End of the World is a literal stone wall so high it's almost impossible to scale.

#20: The Core and the Arm.

#24: Duck Hunt!

#23: Kingdom Hearts 2?

#22: Persona 4?

Correct on Kingdom Hearts 2 and Persona 4, not on Duck Hunt.

Interesting, that both my wild guesses for #23 and #22 were actually correct.

Duck Hunt was a joke, as best NES game is quite subjective. It may be Zelda, Metroid, Dragon Quest, Mario, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, ... Need the next hint to narrow it down.

Naturally. I just started with a very broad hint for the NES game since it would otherwise be really easy to guess.
