Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3rd-party support for Switch by company

Which company supports Switch the best?

Ubisoft 5 16.13%

Bethesda/id soft 11 35.48%

SEGA/Atlus 2 6.45%

NamcoBandai 2 6.45%

THQ Nordic 2 6.45%

Square Enix 5 16.13%

NIS 0 0%

Koei Tecmo 0 0%

Capcom 4 12.90%

other 0 0%

Total:31

I thought it would be a good idea to size up different companies and their support for the Switch so far. To see who is talking big and who is giving actual suppport.

This list is probably incomplete, so if I miss things or have them wrong, please mention it so I can add/correct things. Also mention if you want this updated or it is OK as a one-time thing.

As game isn't the same as another game, I mark some things with formatting. Here is what I use:

  • million-seller on Switch
  • Nintendo-exclusive
  • no physical release (if only physical in some region aka Okami only in japan it is also italic)
  • (limited release) (only cloud or japan-only)

I list already released games and announcements separately.

So, let's get to it.

EDIT: Formatting turned not out as I intended, so sorry for the mess.

Think you are missing a few Techno-Koie games.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Your list isn't updated. NBA 2K19 is released, Steep is cancelled and The Stick Of Truth is already out. And so is the Capcom BTU Bundle, and Fifa 19 which is out since today.

And Fear Effect Sedna isn't a Square Enix game, it's a Sushee/Forever Entertainement game

Which ones? I can add them.

Steep is cancelled? Didn't knew that. Thanks for your hints, I fix it.

Didn't Ubisoft announce many Hasbro tabletop games coming to the Switch, like Risk and others?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

EA, obviously!

Ha ha, actually, I am happiest with Capcom, though Koei and Square are really good too. I would also give a shout out to Bethesda, they're smaller than many of the others and cranked their support from 0 to 90 this gen.

A few not yet mentioned

Ubisoft:
Sports Party [retail]
Legendary Fishing [retail]

THQ:
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire [retail]

Capcom:
Onimusha remaster[retail Japan I believe]

Sega:
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Valkyria Chronicles 1
Sega Mega Drive Classics

I think there's more those were just from the top of my head

Bethesda has been pretty great so far.

I'll be happy with Namco if they bring future Tales of to the system. Tecmo with Gust Co. titles.

Sega has some cool stuff that isn't Sanic, hoping SMT regains that magic from their 16 bit days and 6th gen.

Capcom has some IPs I care about, so no much way around avoiding them.

Square, just keep bringing the Dragon Quest stuff.
