Forums - Gaming Discussion - DMC5 will have non-cosmetic microtransactions.

You can pay extra money to skip the game, or make it less grindy. This is Shadow of War all over again. Oh well, one less game for my backlog.

This was going to be my first DMC game, but now I'm honestly thinking about skiping it entirely. I'm not supporting this BS.

I make game analyses on youtube:

Stupid capcom, monster hunter world was a success because it didn't have this shit. This really killed the hype for me

Yeah, this pretty much pushed the game way down in priority for me. I'll still probably get it if it's good, but for much cheaper and most likely at least a year after release.

Mate the game isn't grindy at all, according to reports their is just 1 upgrade in the tree that takes sometime to save for, and it isn't even directly rated to gameplay.

Sad to hear the microtransactions but glad that the progression is still the same.

If Capcom puts MTS in the next Monster Hunter Game, my brain will bluescreen in pure rage.

Eh, as long as it's optional...

Normally I would have criticized this, but very recently I have been informed that I am just being entitled to my money I earned, I should buy into the terrible practices even if I don't support it, and because it doesn't cost a lot of money it's somehow worth the price and I should never ever criticize it. So I'll be buying every micro-transaction available.

When someone was being overly-negative about the game I told them to stop and even was passively accepting of the microtransactions. I have felt bad ever since. It was a rare case of me making an illogical emotional response (I know that's surprising given my name).

People need to stop being accepting of this garbage.

This sucks, to be able to buy moves to make a game easier defeats the purpose of a video game.
I am okay with MTs and lootboxes aslong as its not forced or pay to win. DMC5 is going down the wrong path. Why cant companies do this right, just follow OverWatch's method, its done perfectly.
