The prequels also had the walking robot*, Anakin and Jar Jar Binks.
And I'm not referring to the kickass suit he wore at the end of RotS.

elazz said: Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Rurouni Kenshin, Ip Man (although the 4th one will release later this year or next year) There are I guess many that people could enjoy. LOTR has the most won Oscars out of any franchise, some of the highest critical and public acclaim and my personal best movies of all time (longest extended edition there is of course so watch the 3h50m to 4h20m per movie versions and not 3h to 3h35) |
Bolded: Those were so fantastic!!!!!!
I'd honestly rate the RoboCop trilogy higher than the SW prequel trilogy, at least the first 2 movies were good... well, the first was a classic, and the second was flawed, but entertaining. The less said about the third movie, the better. Compare that to 2 dreadful films and one flawed-but-entertaining movie for the SW prequel trilogy.
The Godfather Trilogy.

Top 5 for me:
1. Back to the Future
2. Lord of the Rings
3. Star Wars (OG trilogy)
4. Men In Black
5. Spider-Man (if 3 had been better, this would be above Men In Black for me)
By its quality, The lord of the rings, but my favorite is indeed Back to the future, lost track of how many time I have seen them.

Die Hard's not even a trilogy, it has 5 films in its filmography.
Toy story and its really not even close. How is that omitted?

Because a 4th has already been announced I'm guessing, releasing next summer. Will mean it is no longer a trilogy.
