What a terribly restrictive poll. I do not lie anywhere on this standardized and clichéd conceptualisation of political ideology and predisposition. I describe myself as a post-structural anarchist, which shares little with the Left, and even less with the Right - and is vociferously against the apathetic and noncommittal "centre".

Left, right, and centre are all archaic relics that entirely miss the point of politics and its' nature. The point, of course, being that everything in society is contingent and historically constructed. No discourse is ever benign or "right" - on the contrary each discourse contains within it the seeds of totalitarianism and delusion.

My understanding is that Left, Right and everything in between bears more resemblance with religion than anything else.

And I'm deeply, deeply against all forms of religion.

you count as far left ANARCHY is a dead give away lol
being anti religion deeply is another factor

Probably Canadian/European conservative. So probably a communist in 'merica .

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

lol wtf i ain't no socialist

I think the Libertarian quadrant should be taken into account here, as it's a big part of the picture, and I consider my values far more Libertarian than either left or right. You could be an Authoritarian leftist (Hilary Clinton), Authoritarian conservative (Dick Cheney), Libertarian leftist (Dennis Kucinich), or Libertarian Conservative (Ron Paul) for instance. The distinction is essentially how much do you wish to impose your ideals onto others? If you wish to control others, whether with your right wing OR left wing views, you might be an Authoritarian.

I'm probably "center left" on the left-right spectrum but heavily Libertarian as opposed to Authoritarian. Classical Liberal might describe me in some ways.

Essentially my mantra is: live and let live, and that freedom of speech, and of the individual is of the upmost importance in a free and prosperous society. Everybody should be treated as equals and judged as individuals, and not treated or judged a certain way based off factors outside their control like their identity. Live your life as you see fit as long as you don't impose your views on others or hurt them. If you fall out of these bounds, whether it be on the left OR the right, chances are I'm not going to support you or your ideals.

You may not know it from my highly critical nature of the DNC, modern left, and its hyper PC culture - but I actually hold a lot of Liberal views (absolutely for equality, pro choice, pro universal healthcare, anti-war, freedom of speech/press, pro legalization of weed, critical of religion and blind patriotism, etc).. But these days the modern left seems to be going on an Authoritarian tangent, placing a heavy emphasis on identity politics and is working this sort of Post-modernist oppression Olympics defeatist angle, which I simply cannot support being a proponent of the individual and their prosperity above all else.

Agreed. But maybe if you can answer those questions with a actual agree or disagree, it really shows where you stand.

I don't think anybody is coming up as very right wing, but we're seeing people in the far left.

On a side note, I think the "Equality" term is bullshit. It really should just be called "Government Control."

Authority/Freedom is kinda broken in my opinion. I think I rated slightly higher on "authority" simply because I'm neutral on drugs, not enough context there and not all drugs are equal.

It should say equity rather than equality.

Even that feels like a euphemism.

Even "medicare for all" is misleading. It all just sounds better than public healthcare. These are how all the public services are sold because we just don't trust our government in the US, for good reasons. People leave cities in mass numbers when government fails.

Pretty damn left-wing, I have been wanting to read anarchist authors for a while now. My political views are not too fleshed out though.

Lol some of these questions are so ambigious so i dont find the test very accurate but here is my result:

Social liberal, but those tests should be larger and hold better questions.
