Honestly curl-6, it is difficult to engage with you when you move the goalposts every single time you get challenged. You've chosen to exclude Pokemon, any port ("released in 2014"), any game you don't like, any game that doesn't meet your arbitrary definition of "top tier", etc., then complain that Nintendo has failed to put out any games. Well, okay.

Basically there are two types of Nintendo games.

1. Top tier

2. Mediocre filler

There is no in between.

This isn't really my argument but...

@bold really?

For Zelda I am fairly sure he is talking 3D Zelda (home console) vs mainline Mario Party which would be like 6 (9 with remasters)  vs 11. And its 5 Smash bros vs 7 Mario tennis and that's tennis alone without mentioning all the other Mario Sports stuff.

Sure, there are less Zelda games when excluding most of them.

And of course we wouldn't mention the other Mario Sports titles because they have nothing to do with the discussion.

When he mentions 2017 was a good year because of Zelda, I am thinking of the top tier 3D Zelda that BoTW was and not the low budget 2d stuff.

As I said 5 to 7 without mentioning them. So clearly Mario Tennis is pushed out a bit more than Smash Bros and not "there are about the same amount of Smash games as there are Mario Tennis".

Ok we will just count 3D Zelda and i will agree that Mario Party was way over used in the N64/GC era but looking at recent history (Wii onward).

Twilight Princess 2006, Skyward Sword 2011, Breath of the Wild 2017

Mario Party 9 2007, Mario Party 10 2012, Mario Party 11 2015, Super Mario Party 2018

Its 3 vs 4

I forgot about the Virtual Boy version of Tennis, was thinking it was 5 to 6.

Look at the context of his original statement though, "Mario Tennis/Party #45,679" hes acting like Mario Party & Mario Tennis are getting a dozen games each gen while Zelda/Smash are neglected when the output is pretty similar in the last dozen years.

Yes his claim is a bit ridiculous, especially since not all developers have the same pedigree. Quality takes time as they say.

It's very hard to tell at this point. Things are going to be much clearer in 2 years from now (by that time, possible revisions will be already out and we can understand better Switch's library and future potential).

If I had to guess right now, I would say something around 120m.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
