And do what with it?

I hope that's a rhetorical question.

Yeah, I was scratching my head about that one as well.

It wasn't. But I'd sure love to hear that great plan of bombing Saudi Arabia that will fix all problems.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So who win??? I bet a lot of country are able to fight Saudi, hell even Saudi are branded as terrorist country, primitive, inhuman right and etc etc. But why no countries like US, Canada, UK, Israel, CCP, India, Russia want to destroy Saudi??? I guess people are watching to much msm and not all the world agree with msm and Canada. Hell most of the Muslim world are depending on Saudi as the center of Islamic world for Hajj.

Oil. That's the reason why no one calls out Saudi Arabia on their bullshit.

Oil????????????? LOL,  Isn't the price oil drooping?????? isn't US, China (CCP) and Russia already has a fracturing method and does not depend on KSA anymore, or actually there is no bullshit.

Saudi Arabia is a country that formed in the 20th century after conquering the land from the Hashemites (The same dynasty that rules Jordan). They're tyrants.

But the thinking of the US and their allies is thinking is something like this:
Man 1: "Let's investigate these September 11th attacks."
Man 2: "OMG! The attackers were from Saudi Arabia!"
Man 2: "What does this mean? Should we investigate the Saudis?"
Man 1: "NO! We go to war on terror!"
Man 2: "Where is terror?"
Man 1: "NOT SAUDI ARABIA, but lets bomb the hell out of Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, and attack Pakistan until children become afraid of the sky."
Man 2: "Look, the Shia people are helping fight against the ISIS and Al Qaeda."
Man 1: "HAHA, SHIA FOOLS, BOMB THEM!!!"
Man 2: "But those guys are helping to kill the terrorists."
Man 1: "DO AS I SAY, BOMB THEM!"
Man 2: "How will we deal with Saudi Arabia?"
Man 1: "Our forces have been ineffective in finding the terrorist group, in order to dig up the funders, we should give the House of Saud WEAPONS!"
Man 2: "How much money worth of weapons?"

Actually Saudi is not that rich, and their Oil is not superior to Argentina and US.

U might want to check this http://edition.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/people/shows/binladen/timeline.html

So in the end the Saudi are the enemies of Muslim Brotherhood , how come Saudi helping Muslim Brotherhood in terorism, and also those link and info are made by US and US intelligent ????

I bet people dont know the real treat (Muslim Brotherhood from Egypt , Qatar, and Libya ) and also Hizbullah by the shia Iran also work together with hamas, and Muslim Botherhood . ISIS in the other hand are fighting against everyone including Saudi.

So, if you haven't heard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reacted with fury to a tweet criticizing them by Canadian officials.

So considering Saudi Arabia is now the chair of human rights when is the world going to do something about Canada?

This is so stupid. Honestly it turned into a whole lie and who's best madness on twitter.
I'm from Canada and i've never heard of bestiality being legal or 1000 women being mysteriously murdered like what ?
Also saw a lot of people pointing out the homeless thing, yes there is homeless people in canada like pretty much everywhere else in the world. We do have places for them to go get food and spend the night like in Montreal and Toronto.

Bestiality is 100% illegal, this is just a smear campaign from ignorant middle easterners. Doesn't surprise me that the nation who doesn't think women are real people doesn't know how to teach its citizens how to google.

Let's look on the bright side: about time USA and Saudi Arabia invade that evil, filthy Canada to restore freedom, democracy, some healthy traditionalist christian and muslim morals and last, but not least, animal rights!!!

PS: Sex with animals as done in Canada is 100% wrong, but it can be done in a righteous way, following the teachings of His Holiness Porkollah Khotekini, may the Supreme Flying Spaghetti Monster bless him, in his precious Little Green Book.

It's hilarious that a country like Saudi Arabia talks about sovereignty and external interference.

Speaking of which, didn't they just bomb a bus with schoolchildren yesterday?

The price of oil is not definitive. Eventually, oil will become scarcer and Saudi Arabia is one of the main suppliers of oil around the world. Western countries have to keep good relations with them because of the scarcity of the resource.

You know, the principle of non-interference is an interesting one for a government that just blew up 29 school children in a neighboring (poorer) country to invoke.

On the bolded: No, we aren't.  No matter how much you may wish us to be otherwise, Alberta is still more progressive than most of the United States overall, and in particular, the American south.

On the rest: This isn't just Canada poking Saudi Arabia about the women of the middle east.  This is Canada standing up for a Canadian citizen who has been detained by Saudi Arabia for the crime of being a woman with an opinion.  You can be quite certain consular and government officials have been involved in this case doing far more than just sending tweets.

So if I decide to go for a hiking trip throughout SA and end up stranded in the desert, hanging on for dear life, Canada will have no problem bashing the SA Gov because they aloud this to happen?

You think when I'm asked why I went for a hiking trip alone in the desert in SA, and I respond with, 'because I am Canadian, which makes me special, so I figured I could just go anywhere and do anything and assumed everything would work out just fine', would be an acceptable excuse?

If this Canadian citizen went there protesting, then they obviously knew the details and what could happen, so they now need to deal with the consequences, just like I would for being such a moron. This would be like walking up to a black person and calling them the 'N' word to their face, and then completely blaming them for knocking out your teeth.

Why is it that the farther into to the right wing people go, the more likely it is that they argue in false equivalence?  Your hiking argument has no relevance to anything we're discussing. It is, frankly, an idiotic distraction.

However, if you were in Saudi Arabia and were detained, then yes, Canadian consular officials would advocate on your behalf and work to ensure you are treated fairly. Even if you went there protesting.  That's one of their duties, after all.   Also, please do educate yourself.  What she is protesting is the human rights violating torture and punishment the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is visiting upon relatives of hers.  She didn't just go for a lark.

I've never had someone guess so correctly about myself... you must be a mind reader... or wrong, but maybe that's because I'm so right, apparently?

I fail to see how my mentioning of them going to protest and knowing what could happen due to that, is wrong? I'm not sure what I was so uneducated about in my last comment? Why they are there doesn't really matter, it's the fact they went and were detained for protesting, yet think they should be totally off the hook, with our Gov backing them, as if because they are Canadian they can go where they want and do what they want while they are there and get away with it scot free. SA is not Canada and everyone here knows that.

Kind of like if I was aloud to enter a Country and aloud to go hiking in their desert, assuming I would be just fine, because I know I can go hiking here in Canada and would be just fine. Problem is the desert over there, is nothing like the terrain and weather over here, and my thinking that it would be the same and that I didn't need to prepare for the worst, is what would have landed me in hot water. Here in Canada, when there is dangerous, life threatening terrain, we block it off and put warning signs, like at Niagara Falls, so why wasn't the desert fenced off? It clearly would be COMPLETELY SA's fault because they didn't follow the rules Canada has in place for it's own Country, at least based on the way this situation is playing out, which is wrong.

If I went hiking in the SA desert and almost died because of it, it would be my fault for being an idiot and should simply be glad I'm not dead. If the Canadian citizen went protesting human rights in SA and was detained because of it, it would be their own fault and they should be glad they weren't subjected to worse.
