Looking great !

Around the Network

Already have Intergrade and Mass Effect Trigogy to play and complete but caved in and bought Ratchet and Clank.

Way too many games to play lol.

Plus E3 coming up.. Wonder if Sony will do an event this month.

Nice, yeah its a really good take on a classic. The combat is really fun and what I've been wanting the series to go; more action based like KH. Characters perfectly done (even better then Advent Children design wise) and the improved graphics is the cherry on top. Also, did you go fidelity or performance mode in the end? I picked off where I stopped on PS4, which was on chapter 8 and not had much chance to play it but will get back into it.

And grats on R&C.. enjoy! Can't wait to get my hands on it. But I feel you, have a big catalogue to go through and its hard when there is so much choice. Think I'm gonna try stick to one game at a time. But yeah a stellar months for games, including PS+ ones and upgrades xD

Counterpoint to the "Days Gone was unfairly treated" narrative:

It's okay to like it, but I'm glad Bend is moving on to other things.

Flexing those "comedic" muscles so often versus analytical breakdowns makes this one of the channel's weaker videos.

Still, I welcome torching DG's victimhood narrative that the... more-obnoxious PS fans had brought up elsewhere.  It's weird to think of how many reacted to a rather modest score with the stated tech issues it initially had.  I remember writing about this too: accusations of SJW's poisoning their scores against Deacon, reviewers ought to consider how the 1.03/1/04 version (what gamers got at release) played versus their own time, and more excuses for a score that effectively translates to "flawed, but can be fun."  My first 8-ish hours with it were right in line with that sentiment.

I really did like DG and I think I played near launch, and also I think the critics were very harsh against it compared to other games. But yes I don't think it was because of SJW or any shenanigan like that. Reviewers didn't like the game as much as I did, and yes it may have to do with the version they played before patches being much worse than what I played. Perhaps if they "remade" the game for PS5 it could have a closer to the real quality of the game.

So with Geoff suggesting that Death Stranding PS5 will be shown off again in a few weeks, do you guys think we'll see a Sony SoP end June/ early July?

I imagine July/Early August. it'll be the quite period between E3 and GamesCome/TokyoGame show and give Sony lots of space to make headlines. It'll give developers time to confirm 2021 release dates or delays (horizon) for example.

But Bend did get a retry, in a sense.  While having a smaller pool, the Critic Score for the PC version was hovering around 77-78.  You have a clearer window of what the avg. critic thinks without the rough edges from the 1.0 version included.

Fair enough even though I think it deserved better score =]

Lttp but Rift Apart finally arrived and have been playing it the last couple of hours and not wanting to put the controller down.

Really enjoying it so far, think it might be my favourite R&C to date! The use of DualSense in this game is so good.

I know it’s old news but I had a good run in Returnal yesterday. Got to Biome 2 and faced the boss, beat it on my first try ?. But farmed a lot before getting in there.

I was extremely happy, but Sadly, I was looking at the biome 3 boss a few minutes ago on YT and damn, what a beast.

Copy and paste from the R&C thread -

Just completed Rift Apart and loved it. The new characters are great and super charming. Overall gameplay is a lot of fun, throwing a tonne of stuff at you and the visuals/animations are just gorgeous. Guns are pretty awesome too, though some felt quite underpowered to the rest even when upgraded. For those collectathons out there.. there's a lots of stuff to find and grind for if you want to max out your character. The only niggle is that it a little shorter than I liked but there's a tonne of replay value out of it and stuff to collect even after completion.

Easy 9/10, great game and something all PS5 owners should play
