For me personally: Ni No Kuni 2 :) Fantastic JRPG. The characters, the design, monsters and soundtracks remind me a lot of the great "Studio Ghibli"-movies (Spirited Away, the Boy and the Beast, ect). A great experience :)
And "God of War" of course. The quality is very impressive! Maybe the Game of the Year 2018 (with Red Dead Redemption 2 or Spiderman), i think.
edit: The chance is very big-that RDR2&the new Spiderman-game will have a strong quality (thats my forecast) ^^@K007

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
The newest game I have played is Inside (2016?)
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

God of War
Basically for me it feels like The Last of Us set a new bar, that is miles above anything else, and again, for me, only Horizon and God of War have flirted with that space again.
For me these three games reset the scale, and what was a 100/100 before TLOU, is now a 70/100. On the new scale TLOU is still 100/100 for me. Horizon is a 95/100 and GOW is about a 92/100.
Looking at what is coming up, I don't think anything will surpass God of War this year. The only two Traditional Screen and Controller based games I have seen that look like they will compete with these three are Ghost of Tsushima and TLOUPII.
Overall first half, regaurdless of acclaim. Moss is my favorite game. As good as GOW is at showing what the culmination of traditional screens and controls can achieve, I believe Moss is a solid sneak peak of where the next 20 years of progression is going to take us.
Unlike GOW though, I have a lot of titles coming out that I believe are going to match or top Moss in the VR + Motion Control Space. Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Blood and Truth are my most anticipated at the moment, but Firewall Zero, Dreams, Vacation Simulator, and many more are looking very promising.
