Forums - Sales Discussion - Xbox One at 39.1 million sold as of March 31st 2018 (IHS Markit Research)

According to IHS Markit Research, the Xbox One has sold 39.1 million as of March 31st and the PS4 has sold 76.6 million by the same time. This would put the Xbox One at around 2.2 million undertracked and the PS4 at 1 million overtracked. Interesting.

Hard to believe.

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

I feel like the actual number is somewhere in the middle of the two, something like 38M.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Do we have any X1 official numbers at all, even shipped?

Oh my god. The comments in the linked article. Have some glue in a bag on the ready if you proceed.

Completely unrealistically numbers that’s don’t line up with game sales either. There is no way the ratio is below 2:1.

Game sales usually are between 2 and 2.5 to 1 in favour for PS4. Those numbers make no sense.

According to ZhugeEX estimates the XBO had sold 35m by the end of 2017. So it was probably at 37m by the end of March. I could see 39m being shipped but not sure about sold through
