Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Still no Retro Studio games

Retro is BY FAR the most overrated game studio.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

i predict after this new retro game which will flop whatever it is.. they will most likely follow in the footsteps of rare.

Tsubasa Ozora

Keiner kann ihn bremsen, keiner macht ihm was vor. Immer der richtige Schuss, immer zur richtigen Zeit. Superfussball, Fairer Fussball. Er ist unser Torschützenkönig und Held.

I like how they announce a game one year and then the next year act like it doesn't exist.

It's been a while since they could be considered to be in the same league.

Since 2011, Retro studios has released the following:
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Co-developed with Monster Games)
* Developmental support on some of the remix tracks for Mario Kart 7.

Monolith Soft Tokyo has released these:
* Xenoblade Chronicles - 2011
* Project X Zone - 2012
* Xenoblade Chronicles X - 2015
* Project X Zone 2 - 2016
* Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 2017

Monolith Soft's Kyoto branch has supported/co-developed these:
* Skyward Sword - 2011
* Pikmin 3 - 2013
* Animal Crossing New Leaf - 2013
* Link Between Worlds - 2013
* Splatoon - 2015
* Splatoon 2 - 2017

Then of course, both Tokyo and Kyoto worked on:
* Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild - 2017

Monolith Soft continues to expand, opening a second studio location in Tokyo earlier this month.
