Yeah, nope its not a pure arcade racer the last first party one by MS was PGR4.  Also the first two Horizon games on the 360 are closer to being arcade games then the ones on the X1 since the cars are only upgradeable but not tuneable.

Tuning has NOTHING to do with physics. Arcade and simulation depends upon the physics. Horizon doesn't have the physics. I've played 1 and 3, so I know what I'm saying.

The physics might be arcady but the overall game isn't a pure arcade racer.  It has tons of sim elements besides the tuning and upgrading like the races being held by classes and car types.

Nobody mentioned Trackmania Turbo yet?

I don't think the regular arcade race gamer, that likes a more forgiving/fun focused experience, would have a good time with that one. It seems that only like 0.2% of all the millions of players (atleast there are millions of records posted in the ranking) even got to the last 40 (of 200) tracks in the solo campaign.

Well the game is decent but it gets boring fast, there are a lot of other racing games that are a lot better and more fun that it.

Anybody try Horizon Chase Turbo for PS4?

Cute and honest Sega Saturn fan, also noone should buy Sega grrrr, Sega for life.

The Crew 2 comes out in a few weeks.

There are plenty of arcady games that do that stuff.

Sim and arcade are distinctions based on the physics. What you are talking of is related to game design and has nothing to do with the genre.

UK is one of the best territories for racing games..

but for the week of the launch of Onrush it charted 34th place......

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-06-11-dontnots-vampyr-is-the-uks-number-one-game

`However, two new racing games, Codemasters' Onrush and Milestone Interactive's MotoGP '18, finished at the very bottom of the chart, in 34th and 40th place respectively.`

It`s a huge shame there just isn`t an audience for there types of games anymore....

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

it looks like OnRush went right over people's heads.
