I'm on level 3: meh.

Not a fan of Smash and i don't believe Nintendo will show the 2019 game (why would they?).
After Nintendo explictely said "2019 titles at a later date", don't really expect anything worthwhile.

I'd hope you're not expecting that something to be 1st party. There's one vacant month, so a chance there's still another Nintendo title to be announced for this year, but then it may also not be to your taste. I think they're gonna leave a month open though, they don't literally need a game per month especially when their 3rd party support is semi-decent.

There is only Smash and Pokemon for the holidays, they can clearly announce a game for December like a 2D mario or a Mario Party and Fire Emblem for October... even a Pikmin game for late august is possible.

don't care if it's first party particularly, i just want something that i'm in to. i'm sure they have other third party exclusives coming and hopefully one will be this year

I have a strong feeling that Nintendo is going to use Smash Brothers characters to introduce each new title announced or showcased, known and unknown. Keep in mind that the Direct will be about 45 minutes.  Here is an example of what could be revealed (R stands for Rumored):

Samus Aran - Metroid Prime 4 trailer

Bayonetta - Bayonetta 3

Yoshi - Yoshi Flipped

Crash (R) - Crash Trilogy

July: Nothing big from Nintendo
August:Yoshi (We better hear from this one)
September: Smash Bros 5
October: Mario Party 11
November: Pokemon Lets Go!
December: Fire Emblem Switch
Let's see if my final prediction is correct!
Also Retro's game will be early 2019.

This is one of the best E3 thread OPs I've seen. Love the Smash idea and overall look! Amazing job.

OT: Nintendo probably gonna have a solid showing. Hoping for some real Paper Mario though

NH3 is not Nintendo and Suda 51 is busy with Travis Strikes Back to start on NMH 3 anyway. Also, Fire Emblem is supposed to come this year from what Nintendo said. So that's what I am assuming.

Are there still tickets for the hype train?

I'm hyped and took already the day off from work.
I expect few first party games but a lot of third party support.

Considering the leaks, I'll be more than satisfied.

Fire Emblem is already slated for 2018 as is Yoshi, thus one vacant month between August-December.
