Skyrim. Or maybe Fallout 3. Or even Morrowind. Definitely not Oblivion... Really hard to choose, but something from Bethesda. =P

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

It’s Horizon Zero Dawn for me. It had it all

-A massive dynamic living open world
-the visuals were stunning even with this massive world they created
-the world was so dynamic and felt like it had been crafted with care and passion even in remote parts where the developers probably didn’t even expect gamers to venture
-the story was original for a post apocalyptic themed game and was very deep if you took the time to read the collectables
-the combat was a massive stand out, so many varied weapons and so many different ways to take down The enemies.
The characters connected and this is something (to me at least) that NEEDS to happen.

Ooh my top three would be GTA:SA, Horizon ZD and Fallout 3.

Btw i am a bit bummed that fallout 3 isnt in the poll.

Yakuza should be on there. I vote Yakuza 6. It may not be the biggest open world, but it is the most lively, living breathing open world in a game with a huge variety of stories and side quests before even witcher side quests being a thing.

I would say Witcher 3 overall. GTA5 and Red Dead are right up there.

As far as actually worlds and game design, Watch Dogs 2 is one of my favorites. I love driving around and explore all the areas from Oakland to SF.
