Any sources that reference that?

Hmm. Are you playing dumb or do you genuinely not know? Hard to tell. If you're  not satisfied with those as sources, you're more than welcomed to research the terms on your own. I only provided links as a quick reference to ones who don't know what I meant.

I'm asking because I've never heard of those terms before, I've never seen anyone use them.

Lets be real, every group except whites in practice.

And your source on that is what?

You quoted it yourself. 😹

"especially if they belong to a group that's often discriminated against or is in some way at a disadvantage"

No progressive would accuse a white male of those things even in South Africa. *shrugs

You're being intellectual dishonest if you take it beyond this point as in saying that it's not true because I didn't show a source. Anyone in the states knows this as a fact and if they say different, they're lying. PC only pertains to some people. It has nothing to do with being polite to everyone.

More "outrage" to point and laugh at, glorious.

That's surprising to be honest. I guess I pay more attention to stuff that I don't like in cases like this.

That's a show on mtv called decoded. It that episode, she talks about colorism. You come across this sort of stuff in entertainment related progressive stuff more often.

entertainment-related progressive stuff? They are for-profit, so they're going to capitalize on spicy new terms like that in order to get more attention, I'm not sure whether or not it is something they truly follow, unfortunately I live in Canada so I can't watch the link you sent me.

The problem with this type of thing is that we keep pandering to the lowest common denominator. You get a handful of people on the Internet who think this is a problem and all of a sudden people use it as the voice of the majority. Nobody really cares about things like this! But a few people go nuts on Twitter and all of a sudden everybody says oh look the minorities are upset about something new. Really, we don’t care about things like this. Yes some do, but most of us don't. And then when you get the few who care about things like this and they make noise it’s reported as if it’s the voice of the people. That’s not the truth!

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

You seem to have confused the words "only" and "especially".

"only" is an exclusionary term, that specifies a specific group excludes all other groups.

"especially" is an inclusionary term, that even when used to specify a specific group, still includes all other groups.

@bold: I'd accuse anybody of anything that they've done.  If a black person is being racist, I call it out.  If a white person is being racist, I call it out.

If a male is being misogynist, I call it out.  If a female is being misandrist, I call it out.

Reality doesn't care about semantics. In practice, that's how pc is regardless of how you think of it or you act as a person. You're the outlier in this. It's one of the reasons why a noticeable amount of lefties are condemning pc culture and/or disassociate themselves from certain labels. You can be the most polite person in the world to everyone and not be politically correct or progressive.

hmm google "mtv decoded colorism" and you'll find it if you want. I've been seeing the term more often in pop culture. Could just be an American thing.

1.)  I'm really not.  That's only how PC is sold on right wing news sites.   One of the people that I read often, constantly calls PC a gibberish term because of how much it's meaning has been twisted.

2.)   They really aren't.  At best they are condemning far left wingers who don't understand what they are talking about.

3.)  No you can't.  You haven't given any examples of whatever twisted thing it is that you think is "Political correctness".  Whatever you think it is, is not what it is.

It is not twisted. Progressives are pushing it towards its natural conclusion.

Progressives are not far left.

I gave examples and you didn't address them. You just keep dismissing it as far left when progressives are the ones are doing it.

You are just so used to the status quo that you pay attention more to things that deviate from it, that is why.

Not really, because the current status quo is a progressive authoritarian empire. So if what you said was true I'd pay more attention to instances of non progressive abuses, which exist, but unfortunately the real existential crisis atm is progressive oppression

Opressors, authoritarians and empires are per definition not progressive. If opressors call themself progressive, they're just simply wrong.
