«Labo on the other had is really trending below exceptions and there just isn't enough awareness of it. COULD seem some traction if it gets popular on youtube and twitch but right now I don't see it doing well to start off with.»

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

As I said when it was first announced. Either it will be a blue ocean success of epic proportions or it will be an epic bomb. There really is no in-between on this thing.

November/December are more important for it, for obvious reasons, but interesting to see how it does during spring and summer.

How much attention do they think Labo can get? It's just some cardboard cutout and some recycled games and concepts to accompany it. They should have waited and announced it much closer to the release date, but I guess the Direct thirst was too tempting to ignore.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

....

anyways, this will be a gadget where the sales are based more around post-release reception than pre release I think. If it catches on then it does, if it doesn't it doesn't.

Good. Unnecessary cardboard is what it is.

Context? Online exposure is trending below expectation

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Dont understand this thread, who is exactly source, some random guy from Resetera, why thats thread worthy?

They really don't need an instant smash hit given it's a strange concept, releasing in April, and is rather low risk for them. We'll know whether or not this thing is dead in the water or is doing well and has legs (as in not merely a fad) by some time early next year, but until then we probably shouldn't leap to conclusions one way or the other regardless of how poorly or well it does through most of 2018.

Of course, if they market this thing and it still flops in the holiday season it's probably donezo, but we're a far ways off from that.

Agree, especially because Labo is aimed to kids/parents market, so Holiday season is time when Labo will be far most popular. Labo isnt product that need to be a big success out of the gate.
