Forums - Movies & TV - What is the most underrated movie you know? (Movie tips)

To me it is War of the Worlds from 2005.

The CGI in this movie was incredible and can easily compete with today's movies in terms of realism:

Apart from that, it is the first movie since Alien, in which the aliens actually scared me. The threat was realistic and omnipresent.

So do you also have a movie which you think did not get the attention or ratings it deserved?

Gattaca (1997) is pretty good and underrated.

I like The Illusionist (2006) but I can understand it not being everyone's cup of tea.

Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror (2008) as part of Grindhouse is hilarious to me.

Wes Anderson's Rushmore (1998) is legit great.

The Watchmen (2009) I personally thought was quite well done.

War of The Arrows. Really good action flick.

For anime feature film, Sword of The Stranger.

As for me, these are some other movies I greatly enjoyed that weren't very popular:

The Hidden

They Live

Cube

Fireball (Thai action movie)
