Also bear in mind that most of these games are announced to the first half of the year. Nintendo'll have some huge surprises this year for the last half. I mean, this is going pretty well, for sure.

I'm surprised at some of the 10s I see. Definitely not trying to hate, but most of the stuff shown were ports. Had that been the other guys, most of you would be vocal and giving lower scores. It's cool though. I get the excitement. I scored this 7.5.

While I'm excited for certain games like Crash and Smash making the jump to Switch, I still felt something was missing. I would have loved a Virtual Console announcement. That would have set it off. I wonder why we haven't gotten that yet. Also I wish Luigi's Haunted Mansion was remade for the Switch, instead of the 3DS. Those are just my gripes. Overall, still a great Direct. Just not a perfect 10.

Kept my expectations low, due in no small part to Nintendo pre-announcing that this Direct would be about 3DS games and Mario Tennis Aces. No major surprises since it seemed everything leaked ahead of time. That being said, what was shown was quality and I can tel they are giving people what they want. Stoked for Treasure Tracker, Splatoon's , and of course the big reveal Smash. Still not sure if that is a port or a sequel, but either way I'll be happy, especially since it is releasing in 2018.

I gave the Direct a 9, mostly for delivering above expectations and for great pacing...and for revealing Smash, of course.

I'll give it a 7. Fell asleep during 3DS boringness. They spent too much time explaining freaking Tennis. Didnt care for Splatoon 2 stuff.

But

Octopath Traveler Collectors
Crash Trilogy
Dank Souls(Yes Dank,not Dark) w/ Amiibo
Captain Toad(cute little bastard)
South Park
Okami
Mario Tennis(release date)
Smash Bros

I feel 7 is a solid and warranted number

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

I have been holding on buying specifics games that were announced today because at the time of release I didn’t had the budget or because my time was limited. The Switch portable aspect has gave me more time to play in the last year than my total play time on PS4 and XB1, so it might be ports, but I can now enjoy them when it was not possible before.

I think that’s the main reasons why some people don’t care for ports and liked this direct, like I did.

Till end of July, there’s enough content for me to last till 2019.

Smash, release date for Octopath and Mario Tennis basically carried this direct. The third party games were certainly surprises, but they are ports, not new games. And man, I really wanted to hear about FE.

I totally agree. The main reason I watch each direct is to hopefully hear FE info!

Switch: purchased. Fire Emblem and Smash Bros. Ultimate time!

-Noticeably, there were no new game announcements at the Direct besides Smash. We got ports. -1
-No Yoshi or FE info...strange.
-Wasted so much time on Mario Tennis. Teaching us about the game's mechanics should've been an extended trailer posted on YT after the Direct. Just show us the new content -1

Ok, so this is what I think: this Direct was to inform us about Q2 games + July. There were other 2018 TBA dates here and there like Okami, Undertale and Smash. Just icing on the cake I suppose. If this was what Nintendo was trying to achieve, they succeeded

So:
April: Labo, South Park
May: Hyrule Warriors DE, Tropical Freeze, Dark Souls, Little Nightmares
June: Mario Tennis, Sushi Strikers (I guess?)
July: Octopath, Captain Toad, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy

I think this is acceptable. We need more games for June, otherwise, this is alright.

E3 will inform us about Q3 beyond July, Q4 and 2019.

So far we have 2018 TBA: Travis Strikes Again, Smash for Switch, Mega Man 11, Blade Strangers, Yoshi, Fire Emblem and Bloodstained (interestingly, these are new games as well)

TBA in general: Pokemon, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, SMT 5

Thats a given, you don't need to believe, only big announcement was Smash Bros. :)
