But Zhuge is trustworthy dude.

Isn't he the guy who was on his way to finishing a degree in chemistry and after mass posting on Neogaf, suddenly turned into an "analyst". He has no clue about ww sales (my guess), but apparently has access to NPD data.

He is essentially making educated guesses, and doing so in a scientific way (my guess again), is probably closer to the truth than most of the arm-chair analysts popping up everywhere.

I agree that Zhuge has been pretty reliable so far about a lot of things, so I trust his information. So ps4 pro is still ahead of xbox one x in US, but xbox one x is outselling ps4 pro when aligned, which I thought xbox one x was doing in US. Pro is probably still selling a lot more then xbox one x worldwide.

If Xbox one is barely at 35 million, I don’t expect Microsoft to get past 50 million this gen..... which would be less than half what ps4 is likely to sell this gen :)

mM

Zhuge has a lot of data I trust him, but this is definitely an estimate based off of US sales.

So, most likely overtracked on here. My guess is final XBO numbers will be 45M-50M.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 has taken the lead in the console market since the beginning of this console generation with 76.5 million units sold, however, Microsoft has been very evasive when it comes to Xbox One sales figures and according to an industry analyst, the Xbox One has sold close to 35 Million units with Xbox One X outselling PS4 Pro.

According to Daniel ‘ZhugeEx’ Ahmad, Xbox One has sold close to 35 million units to date based on NPD data which is yet to be revealed to the public. Furthermore, he revealed that Xbox One X has been outselling PS4 Pro in the US.

"In the US, when launch aligned, yes. The One X got off to a really good start."

Last time Microsoft revealed a number for Xbox One units sold was 10 million units in November 2014 and since then the company has not revealed any specific sales number for its console and has been focusing on the Xbox Live and monthly active users for its live service.

While these are not official numbers but compared to PS4’s 76.5 million units sold, Microsoft is more than half-way behind in sales compared to Sony.

1) to-date, Xbox One is around 35m.
2) from launch to now, Xbox One X has sold more than PS4pro in the US.

First off, Xbox One shipped 10M by november 2014, not sold.

Secondly, PS4 sold 73.6M units. The number you have is shipped (not that it makes that much of a difference anyways, but whatever)

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

If I had to make a guess, the estimate is based off the end of december NPD numbers, since Janruary NPD isnt out yet for the companies/research firms/investors/etc, which will be February 15. The public release at February 22.

So yeah, like others have said its probably a bit over-tracked here.

35 Million lifetime for the end of 2017 sounds about right.

Xbox one yearly sales.

2013 - 3.0 million
2014 - 7.5 million
2015 - 8.6 million
2016 - 8.5 million
2017 - 7.4 million

NOTE: Every years, expect 2013, are just estimate, not confirmed numbers, so they may be wrong, but they are the estimate we have so far.

Sounds about right, but the 19.1 million sales by the end of 2015 came from subtracting the PS4's sold-through numbers from EA's estimate. That methodology turned out to be a really bad one when Zhuge mentioned that the XB1 fell behind the 360 launch-aligned in 2017 by his estimates.

Thank God for the XB1X. Its been outselling the PS4(pro) since it launched!!! Sony doomed etc etc
