Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will the next Pokémon game have two versions?

RingoGaSuki said:
Of course it will. You know why? Because it sells. Game Freak couldn't give two shits about what constitutes better value for their fans.

Thread could have ended here.

Really though, just buying 1 game doesn't bar you from the full experience. Ever since the series has allowed you to trade online pretty much every pokemon is available to you.

Oh that's a given. They'll also ask Nintendo a certain share on the online subscription fees since they'll cause a massive rise in the number of people subscribed to it

ofc they will why fix what's not broken

Probably will have duel versions again. Works for them so I dont see why they wouldn’t

And another one for Switch and 3DS the year after in which you can catch all legendary pokemon.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

How do you pay 120 for it?

If it's 40 each, it's 80.

There hasnt been a third version in quite some time. Ultra was a sequel, just like B&W 2.

Let me fill you in on a secret though. You don't need to get every version. There's this tool like an auction house where you can trade the pokemon you want. I honestly never bough more than one version and i got almost all legionaries on my alpha sapphire copy. Only the rarest of rarest are hard to get, because the others are always bred by people and sold for peanuts.

If you mean having the cut-scenes with the mirrored team... do you really care that much? :x

Of course.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

LOL. As you mention it - why Gamefreak never had this idea. They would be so rich by now.

Pretty sure they're already quite a bit rich from selling 220 million low-budget games.

Exactly. It's time for them to make a bigger team and have more ambitious projects. It will sell over 10 million copies anyway it's not like they are taking risks or something they are just really lazy atm.

Hopefully the higher price point will make them spend more money. But i can see them making a Sun/Moon HD for 60$ tbh. I don't really have faith in Gamefreak since X&Y
