Is it really?

With so many bundles, even those out of the top 100 will count a lot to the end result.

It's also the reason why Amazon looks biased to the Nintendo Switch: With both the SMO and the Splatoon 2 bundles being sold out long time ago, they really only have the gray and neon bundles left, which as a result constantly chart high. Sony and Microsoft have lots of bundles stealing each other's sales from the same console. As a result the different bundles don't chart as high, but the sheer mass of different bundles compensates for the perceived difference.

I'm glad that other people see the bias in the charts and presenting their own theories.

Like I said, I'm looking at history for this.  Xbone has pulled the bundle bumb rush strategy many times.  So we have a pretty good handle on how this usually plays.  And looking at the past this doesn't look to be enough.  However, as I said, there's a chance.  And the reason is yes, the Switch has 2 SKUs.  So there is a mild distortion.  But I firmly believe it is a mild distortion.  If it was a major one, Amazon would have incorrectly awarded the win more than 1 time.    So it does throw a curve ball into the typical analysis, but so far Amazon's accuracy rate has been fine enough.  

However, the bigger issue for this stratagem is stock.  If Amazon is representative, these outside bundles may not have the necessary stock.  

IF Xbone manages to get all these bundles in the monthly charts, then theres a descent chance of an upset.  If they do not, then either Amazon's stock is very anomalously low OR expect Xbone to lose.  Cause the one thing that to my knowledge has thus far been universally true, no upset has ever occurred based on extra bundles outside the top 100 monthly rankings.  So again, I'm not making any definitive calls right now because this sale has not been going on long enough, we haven't seen if any of these bundles will hit the monthly top 100.  

I just want Xbox up YOY honestly. It had its best January ever last month. Here is hoping for the best February ever as well. Without knowing the exact numbers for January it's hard to predict February. But if all 3 consoles where infact very close then I don't see a reason why Xbox can't take this month with all these sales and bundles they got going on. Will be an interesting month regardless.

I think bias is the wrong word in this sense which is what might be causing disagreement. It is more about understanding the various factors that influence the final outcome.

Amazon is in no way biased towards the switch more than any other console but the influence of multiple SKUs is often understated by those who comment and the use of the word bias is often from a defensive position by those who want to justify an already entrenched opinion that generally has no basis in logic, hence more of an excuse than an explanation.

It's boring .

Just to put a finer point on what I am saying, Xbone currently has just 2 SKUs in the top 100 monthly: 56 and 61. When that changes, then things get interesting. If it's more or less still that when February ends, then the odds are most definitely not in Xbox's favor.
