If xbox only has around 28% in the UK and US. Overall WW it's share is probably around 15%. Pretty low.

Xbox One has a 17% share of FFXV global sales according to VGC. I'd expect the XBO's share for MHW to be much lower for a few reasons - Final Fantasy was multiplat the entire 7th gen, thus having time to build at least a bit of an audience on PS4. Monster Hunter, on the other hand has had zero connection to Xbox, but it has been on both the PS2 and PSP. In addition, Japanese sales of MHW will be more important for MHW than they were for FFXV. Because the XBO is nonexistent in Japan, the more sales come from Japan, the more disadvantaged it is.

It's pretty good

Share must be >80% for PS4 worlwide. Well deserved, game's cracking

It really has to be based on Japan alone.  In the US I expect something closer to the UK or even better for MS like a 70/30 split in favor of Sony.   Worldwide we are going to get close to 90%.

I know we have gone on and on about this, but Microsoft has to do something about its lackluster Japanese performance... globally.  There is no reason why Sony should be getting 72% market share in UK even though we know the PS4 has majority share.  Even the Xbox One review for MHW are stellar.  Buy this game Xbox owners!  The only way to get more Japanese support is to support them in kind.

I'd guess that Xbox market share for MH is closer to 10% than 15.
10% is still very good for Capcom to consider a port. It will end up around 1 million.

it will be good to see the hold of MHW in tomorrows UK charts

nice to see it did great, curious to see numbers from america and europe, hope monster hunter will have some good following weeks after

Monster Hunter World dropped 46% in unit sales (physical data only) during its second week on the market, which is an impressive performance for a game in its second week. The title hasn't faced much competition in what has been a quiet start to the year, and also will have benefited from strong reviews that came out last week.

From ResetEra

Monster Hunter: World is having an incredible performance that not even the most optimistic person would have ever dreamed of. With digital it is already comfortably over 100,000 units in the UK.

So Monster Hunter World will sell 10 million on PS4?

I don't think so. Based on the initial 5 million total shipment, I expect the LT number to be around 8 million. 750k to 1.25m of it to be on Xbox.

Good enough presence on X1 for UK, still that indicates possible 90% of sales on PS4 WW.

If Xbox is to be 10% of total sales....

Then if it does 750k, PS4 version must do at least 6,75 and if it does 1.25M PS4 must do 11,25.... so your sales bracket is 7.5M to 12.5M total sales, how can that be if you expect LT to be 8M?
