Okay so I know this is gonna sound weird but if this game was being sold on Xbox One in Japan, perhaps this coudl have helped Xbox cross 100k Lifetime in Japan.

Yep and if it or any other MH was on Vita, Vita would probably sell 8m+. (JP only)

For the 'main' Monster Hunter, At least for maybe 2 gens, yes. But it doesn't mean Switch / 3DS successor can't have their own Monster Hunter.

While I can't see the future and won't rule out more Nintendo titles, it seems unlikely at this point.

Yep, Nintendo getting exclusivity with MonHun definitely was a huge factor in the large decrease in sales from the PSP to the Vita.
