I'm in the minority here, but I think DKC is better than DKC2. I also think DKCTF is the best in the series by far, including soundtrack.

It's really tough but I have to go with Stickerbrush.

I always felt DKC2 was the height of the series.

I still feel this way. All 5 DKC games are excellent, but DKC2 is the gold standard.

I agree. I feel that Donkey Kong Country 3, whilst I big step up in some areas, lost some charm that Donkey Kong Country 2 pushed.

Also replaying Donkey Kong Country 2 on my SNES classic... I don't remember it being this hard before. Haha
I am thinking I might need to dust off the CRT and SNES and see if it's because of input lag.

DKC2 is on top of my favorite game soundtracks of all time.

It´s hard to pick up a single one... I´d choose Mining Melancholy. It´s an intriguing track, with all those sounds of metal objects being hit, the bass line.... if we describe that track on paper it would seems crazy, but the result is brilliant

Stickerbrush Symphony, but every track in the game is great.

Sweet, the DKC3 and Tropical Freeze ones should be interesting.

Yeah while DKC3 is still an excellent game, I preferred DKC2's vibe of perilous adventure on a pirate island over 3's more laidback "holiday in Canada" vibe.

I can't believe I beat DKC2 as a kid, nowadays it kicks my arse. Modern games have made me soft.

I might actually ask my grandma if, when she decides to throw out her big CRT, I can take it off her hands. Besides the superior response time, old games like DKC series just look better on a tube TV.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023. (And over 130 million lifetime)
