Do we know the Switch's undocked performance?

On Reset Era they´re saying 720p portable mode and 1080p TV mode, both 30fps

BandaiNamco´s Youtube page doesn´t mention it so like I said above, don´t know where they´re getting the info from, but I guess it makes sense?..dunno.

It generally doesn't make sense to force the resolution much higher than 720p in handheld, as it looks great on that small screen at that resolution and you typically want to avoid straining the hardware to the point that it becomes hot and the fan noisy, not to mention lowering the battery life.

I'll be quite impressed if this runs at a locked 1080p and 30fps, though. Given they're also claiming 4k 60fps on the PS4 Pro (I really can't see how that's remotely possible), I suspect all of the stated resolutions for these ports are the high-end of what will be targeted with constant dips via dynamic resolution.

Isn't the Swtich's screen 720 max anyway?

I believe so.

Am I the only one really, really tired of remakes and remasters? The entire 8th gen has been a non-stop nostalgia or brush-up ride.

Nope, not the only one at all

Considering the difference in processing power 4k60fps to 1080p30fps seems a great port for Switch...

PS4/X1 probably 1080p30fps60fps.*fixed it :)

PS4/XB1 are that much more powerfull than the Switch, if it can do 1080/30, they can both do 1080/60.

*edit:

comfirmation:

I'm glad it's hitting 1080p on the Switch after so many titles have targeted a "loose" variable 720p, this one being the worst offender:

Well, the resolution cant be higher than 720p, so there is that.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Best game ever is getting a Remastered? Awesome news, will buy this for sure!

Actually, every player has been aware that the switch version is the weakest again. I personally have no interest in old (remastered-)games, 2018 will see an incredible number of new AAA-games and blockbusters. A Dark Souls 4 would eventually appear only on PS4 / xone, BUT a new part will not come in the next few years, said the developer.

The souls-base is very huge on PS4, especially the online-player & psn-communitys. 2019 then Bloodborne 2 for all Souls-lovers/fans, I'm sure.
